Will you remake games by LucasArts or other companies?
No, we will not remake any LucasArts games or games by other companies.

Actually, Ultima 1 ( or Alkabeth know also as "Ultima 0" I don't remember exactly ), was already remade, but the remakers had a C&D with EA and the remakers prefered to make slight changes about the games ( title, background etc... ).Wodball wrote:Ultima was property of Origin, but given Origin's unfortunate demise, I think the property resides with EA, or Lord British... I'm not sure of it myself.
So, it confirms that EA owns the rights of Ultima ( too bad they doesn't belong to its legitimate creator, Richard Garriott "Lord British" ).
For any Ultima infos --> http://members.aon.at/hacki-ultima/english/index.htm
But I really liked the idea though I'm not sure how EA feels about fan-games/remake games.
There is an Ultima V remake, except that it is not a stand-alone game/remake. Rather, it is a free mod for Dungeon Siege game. I tried to send the link to you through e-mail at seraphimdreamer@yahoo.com, but the e-mail bounced back.
Here is the link:

You need to own a Dungeon Siege, though. I haven't tried the mod myself since I'm not familiar with Ultima, so I can't comment on whether it is good or not.

Hi,
I like the lazarus remake (though I only played Ultima Ascension before).
Bad things:
The loading is incredibly slow.
Sometimes (not too often) it crashes.
Nothing to do with the mod specifically; As with all ultima games you have to search for food (personally, think that looks much like real life and is boring)
Good things:
You can talk to lots of people about lots of subjects and the character portrays (though still images) are very lifelike almost photographic.
Blue, black yellow potions, spell books, shrines moongates etc. makes it a true ultima adventure.
The DS engine (really like how stuff becomes transparent when moved in front of the camera).
In short it sure is worth the download (don't forget the patch though).
Regards, Ron AF Greve
