Nieces Birthday. What should I get?

#1 Post by Def Zeppelin » Fri Jan 20, 2006 3:22 am

This is going to be my Nieces first Birthday and I don't know what to get.  My idea is that I get her something that is specialized like a Pillow with a written message and picture on it.  Are there any websites that do requests like this?

If anyone has any better ideas please let me know.  Oh btw my price limit is $50 USD.

Hmm, I know Zazzle.com allows you to make custom products, but I don't know what the extent of their products are (I've never actaully used it myself).

Hmm, speaking from experiance the best thing you can get at that age is really something like lego blocks or building blocks.

If not something cuddly and/or Winnie the Pooh orientated.

A present for a year old is mostly for the parent.  I want something meaningful that will show that I care about my Niece, so in the future she will appreciate it.

Right now she is just a mini-cave lady.

1 year olds can do quite alot of stuff, I mean they're practically walking.

Nothing Katherine got for her first birthday was for us it was all toys for her.

And she plays with them all. I guess all kids are different though.

When my daughter was one year old, I gave her a small table and chair for her to sit down when eating/drawing/playing. When she was two (last December), I gave her a small bike.

Presents from friends/cousins/in-laws are mostly dolls and toys.

Buy it off EBAY. If you type in something off that website there are loads of people selling it on Ebay including the hand kit and the sun dial. Cheaper aswell.

Avatar I got that kit and did a kast of Katherines hand and painted it. Wow it looks great and I did that when she was 6 months. The difference is amazing!
