Larry 2 and others

#1 Post by Markol » Fri Jun 02, 2006 3:07 pm

Any plans to remake Larry 2 and 3 or Space Quest 2 and 3 in the future?

I don't think that's very likely to happen. Not by us anyway.

Maybe Fribbi will get around to it again if he feels up to it.

I don't know if they're going to make another remake, since they're going to move on to commerical projects for their himalayas studio.

Till next time stay cool :smokin

There is a Larry 2 Remake, but the graphics are unchanged.  Only the interface was changed from text parser to point and click.

A Larry 2 remake with icons? That rings a bell, I must have heard about it before. I got a file not found message when I clicked that link though.

I downloaded the demo version a couple of years ago.  If you can't find the full version, I'll e-mail it to you if you like.  It's 1.4 MB and ends when Larry enters the cruise ship.

Hi everybody. Did you all have fun when I was gone? No and why not?
I thougth you had a big beer parties because I left you in so long time.  :rollin

Wow it looks like AGDI made a new reckord for not giving any new interesting entry on their blog page..woops sorry...I mean the newspage. They are so quiet people I know. But I know Quest for glory will be their last free game unless they have cancelled it because of their lower interestings on that game. I mean some people grow up and get tirerd from those game and start to life a new live. Shit happens as you know.

But of course they will never give up on this work since they have still some few fans here left on their own AGDI forums who hasen't give on hope for them. Cheers for that!

Hi dreammaster. How are you doing?

Wait a minute? Dreammaster?!? Oh nooooo. So it really must be bad for me to  come here now.  This place is so boring and I have fallen to deep sleep now. And guess what? My dreammaster came up then. :\

Dreammaster are you going to stop my fantasy dreams about me and
AGDI girl nr.1  wich is a woman who wish she can be someday like Lara Croft?  :lol

Just kidding you there!

But anyway hi again.

Good news about that Larry 3 remake but why did you forego Larry 2?

What an odd thread. Then again, all the other Icelanders I know in the community are equally eccentric :)

Nice work on the LSL3VGA effort, Fribbi- did you keep the music the same as the original, or is there no sound?

So, Fribbi, how is progress coming on LSL3?

I would have welcomed you back, but I only post here occasionally, myself.

Speaking of Iceland, I recently read a book, Journey to the Center of the Earth by Jules Verne, part of which takes place in Iceland.  Have you read that book?  What did you think of its depiction of Iceland?

If Tom Lewondowski will loan me his great lsl3 music works I can then have the original music for LSL3. ;)

No I have never read that book. The last book I rad was my bankbook. Without jokes I seldom read books so I can't answer that question but the only thing I know is it is about the volcano Snæfellsjökull. Sorry! 8o
