Yo! I'm new here...can anyone direct me to remade classics?

Hi, I am happy I found this site. I allready downloaded KINGS QUEST 1 and 2 and I'm happy with them. I really liked the background stories on characters in kings quest 2 and I'm happy to see Quest for Glory 2 being remade (I hope you make the battles harder and make Khaveen very hard to fight since I found him too easy...he's meant to be a psycho who loves weapons and murdering people..so make him a bad ass nutcase with a exellent mostashe)

But Is there any other classic games avaliable for download or being remastered? I'd like to see them again, in expanded glory!

Laters!

Infamous Adventures released their KQ3 remake last year:

And in some blatant advertising, don't forget TSL:

ha ha ha.
I just think it's funny when people ask a question that can be answerd throught a 30 sec search.

Sometimes it's nicer to have a live person clue you in to something rather than a machine based search.

I got into Pink Floyd 'cause my older brother gave me an album, not because I googled it.

Just sayin, sirs.

Yeah, sorry guys. I've been busy with a lot of school, so I haven't had much time to make a site.
I'll probably make a pretty basic looking site for now.

SQ2 and KQ3 are not suffixed with VGA, as these games are not made in VGA.

Personal pet peeve that one...

Yeah I know, I was planning to remove any instance to KQ3VGA on the site and simply replaced it with KQ3. It's more like KQ3 16-Bit. Yet the VGA term  is simply clinging on to the fad of VGA remakes... meaning it looks (and somewhat plays) better than EGA!  ;)

Note that AGDI's "VGA" remakes aren't VGA, either.

As a side note, I started making my game in actual VGA 256 color mode. Dealing with the palette was huge pain in the ass. It got to the point I couldn't handle it anymore. I couldn't figure out how AGDI did... then, I realized that they didn't do it. 16-Bit color they used. I had been confused since they wrote VGA next to their games. I guess it's just one of those misnomers. Well,  after that, I went with 16-Bit color too. The game file is bigger, but not really by much, and it sure says a hell of a lot of hassle. I just won't write "VGA".

The Projects page of your website clearly says otherwise, Shawn.

I wonder why they didn't use any names for colour modes after VGA. There was VGA and SVGA but they were still only 256 colours just different resolutions. Why doesn't 16-bit colour or 24-bit colour or 32-bit colour have an "X"GA name (besides High or True colour)?

System names

MI, you're actually expecting any kind of computer nomenclature to make consistent sense?!

You poor deluded fool. :p

Actually, I think that the step above SVGA actually is XGA.

What never existed though was 16-bit color with 320x200 graphics, which is exactly what most people around here use.

Yeah, that's an error we didn't catch when the site was redesigned.

I'm actually very careful not to refer to our projects as "VGA".  I usually say "VGA style".  You know... like the difference between "Peanut Butter" and "Peanut SPREAD".
