hello again friends
After dropping of the planet for maybe three years, I've decided to say, "hey" again to all my old friends.
I don't even remember the last time I posted here. It seems like ages. But it's nice to see the familiar faces around. I'm living in DC now and I'm still working in software, but it's been a while since I've dabbled in the finer points of game programming (perhaps just about as long since I've stopped posting!)
What made me think about posting is that I got the itch to do some drawing, and was bummed out that I have few to share it with. This was just for fun- it's not for a real game or anything.
Later,
Bryce

Wow... what a lame post to go out with. I ended up staying with that company for another year before I got into software consulting, which brought me to DC.
I don't think I'll be starting up any grandiose fan games any time soon, but I intend to hang around. I feel like, as of late, I've distanced myself from almost everything from my childhood (literally, with a cross-coast move), which is a shame.
Yeah, it was a pleasure talking on the phone when you visited Eriq, Stijn. I do still intend to build the flying bike.
And thanks for the drawing compliments. I haven't really done any serious drawing in at least a year. I guess it's like riding a bike.

Good timing
Welcome back, MO. Good timing, too - QfG2 just went into beta a little while ago.

Broomie at the end of the post there he said the Microsoft interviews were withdrawn and that he got a raise where he was. My question is are you done College now? Welcome back pal. It's weird to see someone gone for so long greeted so well on forums like these. I guess a lot of us aren't going anywhere.

Well, those rounds of interviews were cancelled. I ended up taking a contract at Microsoft about a year later in the WPF team. After that I left for DC to work at a small Agile development shop where I am now.
I actually dropped out of school when I started at Microsoft. I'm considering starting again someday, but things are going well in my career without it, so I'm not in a hurry.
