Re: Guess what I got
Grand Theft Auto 4
Soul Calibur 4
tomorrow I get Street Fighter 4
and it came with a game called Uncharted Drake's Fortune of which I'm wondering does anyone here know if Uncharted is a good game?
I'm thinking of getting Resident Evil 5 SE. But I'd have to give up a black label Final Fantasy Tactics for PSP brand new. But then again I already have the GH version it's just I wanted all my PSP Final Fantasy games all black label. But the Resident Evil 5 SE won't be around for long.So what to do what to do

I haven't played it but Yahtzee (of Zero Punctuation) doesn't think too highly of it.seraphimdreamer777 wrote:...and it came with a game called Uncharted Drake's Fortune of which I'm wondering does anyone here know if Uncharted is a good game?

Which means next to nothing as Yahtzee doesn't think highly of anything other than Portal and Fantasy World Dizzy.MusicallyInspired wrote:I haven't played it but Yahtzee (of Zero Punctuation) doesn't think too highly of it.seraphimdreamer777 wrote:...and it came with a game called Uncharted Drake's Fortune of which I'm wondering does anyone here know if Uncharted is a good game?

Re: Guess what I got
Hey, he liked Psychonauts too!
Which is a fantastic game, I couldn't believe it when I saw someone else had heard of it, let alone reviewed it. After that review I had so many people try to borrow my copy.
But him and I agreeing on a game review is about as common as the planets perfectly aligning so I'd say just rent it and try it for yourself if you're unsure.

On an unrelated note. I've got a new stove washer and dryer now and now the income tax money is gone. But hey it was good while it lasted. Life is good.
Re: Guess what I got
Psychonauts is one of the best games ever. I'm glad Yahtzee reviewed it as I'm guessing it's made a few extra sales from Xbox Live Originals. Eagerly waiting Tim's next game, Brutal Legend!

I still really need to finish Psychonauts. I keep getting distracted by those damn shiny things.

Re: Guess what I got
My first run through of Psychonauts took forever because I was determined to get 100% (Same reason Lego Batman and Twilight Princess took so long) and I warn anyone who hasn't beaten it that the last level is (in my opinion) quite challenging (Amazing though, my sister breezed through the parts I struggled with. Damn her mad gaming skills!).
Psychonauts is what I use to lure in potential gamers who don't know what they like but want to try something that's not to demanding (God know what would happen if I threw a Final Fantasy). I've had three non-gamers beat the game, and one to 100%.
I think that's a victory for converting 'norms' to 'gamers'.
I've only seen adverts for Brutal legend, but it looks like it's going to be fun too. To bad I don't think I have a system that can play it.

Game companies suck. EA, Activison Blizzard, all of them.
...except Valve and The Adventure Company.

"We doubt that Activision would try to sue. That would be like a husband abandoning his family and then suing after his wife meets a better looking guy."
Lol! I hope for Double Fine's sake that it all goes smoothly.

I hate valve if only because Steam is the worst program I've installed since Windows Vista. (AY-YO) on the other hand I really like Activision Blizzard. They release quality products consistently.

Re: Guess what I got
well for starters the program is plagued with errors when most people try to use it and in some cases the use of the program at all is unnecessary. Examples: I bought TF2 and CS over Steam and played them at home but when I moved to a place using Reznet I can't install either and consistently get the "Servers to busy" TF2 I had already installed but the game just won't start for me. That's a problem a lot of people have with reznet and it basically just means I can't play these games at all this year but then I bought portal in stores figuring I would be alright since it's on disk and not multiplayer but the authentication won't work for me because of steam's problems. Like I said, the program isn't good for me but I do like the idea of legal digital copies.

I've never had any of those problems. What's Reznet? An ISP?

Re: Guess what I got
ya it's how internet is distributed through residences in southern ontario. It really blows. The problems aren't just with reznet though. When I'm back home and an get the program to work I spend most of the time listening to other people complain about steam problems they're having. To me the whole thing just seems really unstable which isn't a good quality to have if it's a program in control of your property.

Re: Guess what I got
I don't know about any problems anybody else has ever had, and I do agree that the first iterations of Steam were unstable, but it's anything but nowadays. It's improved a lot since its first inception. I've encountered no problems at all. Connecting is fine 99% of the time. The other 1% is the rare time when they're making a big update that requires more than a simple online program update or making some minor server changes. The network has never been down for more than a few hours. And I only recall one time when that actually happened.
