I soon run out of food to give the bastard, and need to save the meat for the eagle. after I disobey 3 times he kills me. This even happens when I start a new game. I get further and further, because I know where to look for stuff, and I might be able to finish, but it's getting to be a hassle.

Unlike the original, the porridge respawns every time you feed Manannan with it, so you have an endless resource of food there, no need to restart playing every time you run of fruit and meat.
