One thing we do know, is that the goat does have to be following you, because you can't die in either of the goat gate screens, but that's a duh.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub57.ezboard.com/broyalquestfor ... nd>Looking For My Mind at: 12/18/03 7:29 pm

I have a save game..........................................

#104 Post by The Knight » Fri Dec 19, 2003 1:30 am

I have a save game with the goat following me, and 13 of the 14 items. I can't get all 14 because you trade the bowl for the fiddle. So I'm going to try a bunch of stuff with the bowl before trading it.
The Knight

"I see in your eyes, the same fear that would take the heart of me.
A day may come when the courage of men fails.
When we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship but it is not this day.
This day we fight!"

I wonder if you have to put Graham in the exact spot for the egg, or if the game will autmatically move Graham there. (i.e. Like when the fairy Godmother appears, the game automatically moves Graham to a certain spot.).

So does the game put you in the spot you need to be for the egg after one of these events?
The Knight

"I see in your eyes, the same fear that would take the heart of me.
A day may come when the courage of men fails.
When we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship but it is not this day.
This day we fight!"
Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub57.ezboard.com/broyalquestfor ... forums>The Knight at: 12/18/03 11:34 pm

I think you should move Graham somewhere, because Erpy posted:

Quote:
The right place is a specific position in a certain screen.

I think that the goat kills you in this egg... ?
______________
Rules must be obeyed. Yes, you have to move Graham somewhere, but the "right" area consists of about 40% of the total walkable area of that particular screen. You guys are getting closer, btw.

<img src="http://httpd.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nashn ...

I think we should find a room where 40 % of the walkable part is unusual, what I mean is it's a lake for example, or a dirt instead of grass, a meadow with flowers etc.
______________
Rules must be obeyed. Erpy said that it is a screen where you can die, so look in the lakes, river, wolf, or the dagger under the boulder in the hole screens.

Are reading through some earlier posts by Erpy, I have narrowed the items down to the Magic Ring, Carrot, and the Note. Now to find the screen.

Also I wonder if you have to use the item on Graham, the goat, or something on the screen.
The Knight

"I see in your eyes, the same fear that would take the heart of me.
A day may come when the courage of men fails.
When we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship but it is not this day.
This day we fight!"
Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub57.ezboard.com/broyalquestfor ... forums>The Knight at: 12/21/03 2:53 am

First this quote from Erpy:

Quote:
No, the object isn't necessary to complete the quest for the chest, but it is part of the better solution to a problem.

Second,
As you can see from the
object list. These are the only two items(actually now looking at it again, the carrot could count.) you can get before the gnome for the chest quest that are for a better solution for the chest quest.
The Knight

"I see in your eyes, the same fear that would take the heart of me.
A day may come when the courage of men fails.
When we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship but it is not this day.
This day we fight!"
