In my latest thief playthrough, I gave the rest of the explosive powder back to the druggist, after taking down the earth elemental with it. But I'm wondering though, was there any further use for it? Could I have used it during any other combat?

Good to know, and doesn't it block/disable some quests if you don't give it all back to the druggist?
