Well.. posting from Debs dads PC at the moment.
What a disaster!!!
The new PC works fine and is amazingly fast!! The guy who built for me just put a copy of XP onto it to run benchmarks etc but hasnt been activated. So I tried to install my copy of windows and chose a clean install in which it copies files to the HD reboots and installs windows from DOS for some reason it just kept blue screening (maybe it cant see the SATA HD in DOS?) but then if thats true you cant do a clean install of windows on a SATA disk...
Anyway so I booted into DOS with a Win 98 boot disk and Fdisk'd the HD and formatted it (this was before I found out that DOS cant see SATA drives, hey I'm new to SATA) and so I bloody formatted OUR 200GB IDE drive with all our stuff on and ALL of Katherine's photos and videos on it!!
Needless to say I was devastated!! Luckily I ran a data recovery program over night and all seems to be back (although there must be some things missing/lost).
So does anyone know how to do a clean install of windows on a SATA disk??
EDIT: I see I need to hit F6 during the boot process and install 3rd party drivers for the SATA, I'll try that.

GASP!
Broomie has a two names! GASP! I want two names, I know one will be Charlie and the second one will be Mufasa! BWAHAHAHAHA!
Heh, I've just found out that all the Harry Potter films, the first Star Wars film, Sleepy Hollow and most of the James Bond films were filmed in Leavesden, which is the studio I drive past basically every day. We're planning a college trip there aswell, should be pretty sweet.
And I changed my name to Jamie because I don't really like Broomie anymore. I tell my friends to stop calling me it aswell and stick to Jamie. Why? I'm just tired of it.

Name change
Changing your logon won't help, my friend; you're still stuck with the jokes concerning a specific cleaning instrument.

Gone but not forgotten

And I don't think anyone around here knows for sure (or, if they do, they're respecting TK's right to privacy).
His only appearance in the last year was a brief one after I baited him with the Hundred Yard War (Ohio State vs. Michigan) in this thread (page 2, more than halfway down).
And now that you've reminded me, Spikey...Blackthorne! Where's my money?
