All of Graham's family sounds slightly upper-class American.

I don't know; I think it deppends on which game you're playing (5, 6, or 7).

Honestly though, if you can't get Robby Benson (which you won't) or Barry T. Smith, the Sierra employee who voiced Alex in KQ5, what's the point? It would be like AGDI not getting Josh Mandel for Graham (or Richard Aronson for Cedric, for that matter :lol ).

If they did choose to do a voicepack (which would be cool, though i understand the difficulties and time involved) , I wouldn't really care if they sounded like in the Sierra games or not, as long as the voices were done reasonably well.

Hey I went to school in Baltimore and I found nothing wrong with the Baltimore accent. I just had problems with everyone trying to kill me! :p

I don't blame people for doubting the completion of QFI, and KQ3. There have been plenty of other big projects announced, and then they just die.

the accent was american i think.
But the RIGHT would be to have an actor with european accent.
Besides, kingdoms existed in europe. From the beggining, American constitution has nothing to do with monarchy.
I cannot imagine in 1850 for example, cowboys having a king!!! :lol
(i tried hard to find king graham in gold rush game but i failed :p)

If i am wrong correct me...

American Daventry

hmm.. the King's speech to Graham at the beginning of KQ1, american style?--

"Howdy, Cowboy Graham!

I'm lookin' to move on from this here pasture, and you're the best cowboy I've got out on this Ranch. I'd highly 'ppreciate it if you'd be willin' t'prove yerself by winnin' the Rodeo Cup next Saturday, Complet'n the cattle drive to Kansas, and bring home the bacon, son. How's about pleasin' yer pappy and showin' them folks what it means to live home on the range!"

Actually, there was a man in San Francisco, California, in the late 19th century who crowned himself "Emperor Norton the I, Emperor of the United States" He was a funny chap, who took himself seriously. Even printed up NEW money. He became a local celebrity.

But, yeah, Zeus you are correct about that.

But since Daventry is an imaginary kingdom, probably on some other world in some other dimension, most characters could have ANY accent they want. Or what the creators of the game chose to do. It appears the creators originally chose American accents for the characters, because, that's probably WHAT they could do, seeing as how they were employee's of Sierra mostly!

I don't know what kind of accent would work. One would have to auditon varieties of different voices and accents.

We decided KQ3VGA needed a few additional puzzles. We felt it wasn't long enough. So we decided to add in that you have to BUY the pirate ship, not just ask the pirates if you can join them.
