Anyone creating Leisure Suit Larry 4?

#1 Post by Aussie Bloke » Fri Oct 01, 2004 7:07 am

Hi all. I've always thought in the past that it was weird that no Leisure Suit Larry 4 was made by Sierra and always wondered why.

Anyways just was wondering is there any fans out their making or thinking of making a Leisure Suit Larry 4 game?

It's a running joke of some sort. Al Lowe initially ended the Larry series with LSL3. When people asked him when LSL4 was coming out, he replied there wasn't going to be an LSL4. When the series were eventually continued, Al decided to keep his word and skipped straight to LSL5. If someone wants to make an LSL4, he probably didn't get the joke. :)

Clicky.

Making a LSL4 would ruin it.

Why would someone be making a Larry 5?

Edit: Nevermind.

I think LSL needs only remakes no sequels. Maybe a Larry2 VGA remake? I loved that game so funny. :lol and 3,4,5,6,7.... :lol

I think the biggest joke was that there is no Larry 4. I mean its so smart, I would trust good ol' Al Lowe to come up with that one. :lol :eek

PS - Sorry for the double post!

Yeah, making a LSL 4 would ruin the joke. If someone wanted to make a Al Lowe fan sequel they should make Freddy Pharkas 2. Aw, now that could be a great game. Probably not as great as QFG2VGA, (just got through looking at my original QFG2 character and I noticed a real lack of comuntication skill...) or SQ7, but great none the less.

It's a shame, cause I loved Freddy. But it didn't sell too well I understand...

I hate the SQ7 team, they dont even have 1 in game screenshot, only models, they dont even give the name of the sequel, they have been in development for 4 years and not even a screenshot? Now that sux. :x

Ease up. There are plenty of other projects for you to peruse. You really shouldn't make a statement of hate at a project just because they don't cater especially to you.

You don't have to stick up for SQ7. He does have a point.

Hero6 is just as bad but at least we have something to show for our efforts.

Oh plz don't bother with that 'The game authors aren't being paid' stuff or the 'They also have a real life' excuse. I have heard it all before and it only works for so long.

And yes I agree: DON'T ANYONE DO A LSL4! :evil :evil :evil

THinking....("I say anyone should at least make the effort of planning it out in their mind then try the idea out with other enthusiastic people. If you can get people to stay and be committed then you got a team that may produce someting.")

Any fan games would be appreciated !! :rollin

I like LSL7, I still remember the day when I had sex with the librarian chick, the only gal who provided me the opportunity to have "anything" with a girl (virtual or not, hehe) :)

Sierra DID make LSL4. It has a short cameo in Magna Cum Laude...

Is it as a game within a game, ala Day of the Tentacle? Don't keep us in suspense, what was it like?

Actually, there are just 3-4 screens that are constantly looping on a computer screen. The title screen says Leisure Suit Larry 4: The Missing Floppies. When you interact with it, Larry says: 'Leisure Suit Larry 4: The Missing Floppies is widely known as the best computer game of all time'. I thought it was funny...
