Oh, Rog - I only tease people I like. Besides, it's just Avril Lavigne.

I'm only teasing, not trying to insult you to the very core!
Sorry if you took it hard.

No I dont think theres a need for a new storyline just new puzzles and characters, because the game has a plot with potential it just needs to fill out a little . BTW You guys will need an application meant for screenthots if you want to grab pics from MoE because printscreen is disabled during -game play

Okay, now a lesson.

You should have said "Bt,you're a stupid person."

"your" implies possive, while the contraction of "you are" implies a state of being, in this case a "stupid person". I don't own "a stupid person" but perhaps I "am a stupid person."

Also, you "accept" my "apology". Except (mispelled by you as exept) means to exclude. Apologie isn't even a word.

(Rog, I dislike having to repeat myself. This message wasn't any better.)

Bartonjo, writing properly is a matter of etiquette. Whatever time you save by typing without using proper punctuation/grammar/spelling is lost by the extra time it takes the rest of the forum to decypher it.

Laziness in typing is excusable in real-time situations. For example, if you're in a chatroom, taking the time to capitalize everything correctly and such might take too long, so the conversation might already have moved on by the time you finish your message. Similarly, if you're chatting in a multi-player game, it might be dangerous to spend too long on a message.

However, message boards don't have this problem. There's no time pressure of any sort. So you really can take all the time you need to make your post readable.

Message boards also have a much bigger audience than games and chatrooms. And there's a much bigger sense of permanency. What you post today will still be visible to the whole world for quite a long time. It's really worth it to spell, capitalize, and punctuate your posts correctly.

I don't even think it takes any longer to write well than to write poorly, as long as you make a habit of writing well. I suppose if you are a written arts student (as I am), then hours and hours spent writing essays doesn't hurt.

In sum, get into the habit of writing to a certain standard, and it will become more and more automatic and less effortful.

(Ironically, I did a typo in my post, but those aren't really the main problem. Structure is probably the most crucial and it is hard to typo your structure.)

Actually, what you should attempt is to work at your spelling (and grammar, and punctuation, and so forth) until it becomes second nature. Apart from the fact that it makes you easier to comprehend, it has the added benefit of making you appear more professional. While this would seem of little significance in a hobby-related forum such as this one, simply taking the effort now would make it all the easier in more critical texts, such as essays and future job applications.

I'm not a native speaker and it works for me!

(edit: sorry for leaving the topic of KQ:MOE... I've never played it, because after seeing the box it seemed too much like it was leaving the KQ genre. Imho there would be some merit in a sequel to KQ7 that were a true adventure game, but I believe there are two KQ9 teams already that seem to have it covered)

I don't have to think about anything in English class; repetitive practice of proper usage leads to common use. You should try it.

It would be interesting to see what, for instance, Wookie could do with the plotline of KQ8. They already have a KQ8 scene in KQ2V, which (imho) looks better than KQ8 itself. But that's just me, I've never really cared for the 3-d look; QfG5 is better but still not quite the atmosphere of the old VGA games.

Believe me, when when I want to have impeccable english, I can. However most of the time I am in a hurry because my breaks only allow for so much time to be spent on the forums anyway.

Sure, AGS games do go well with backgrounds, but any King's Quest remake should be in classical VGA, in my opinion. You might disagree, but think about it. MoE was in 3D and was just plain horrible. No imagination whatsoever, and it didn't feel like a KQ game.

I agree with taking screenshots and making paintovers. I still think its the best game out of the bunch.

Ahum. Sorry.

I wrote an enhanced script for KQ8 once. Now, where is it? :\

Well, if I was Wookie, I wouldn't appreciate it! Heh!

Anyway, it would be interesting to see KQ8 reinterpreted as a Classical VGA game.
