someone sold his L IFE on ebay. He said something about wanting to start over and sold everything he owned (including things from his house to his toothbrushes) besides his cell phone and 50 dollars I think.

That is true. People will buy nothing.

If you think about it all of those gamers that buy items for MMOs, or buy other peoples MMO accounts, are really purchasing nothing...in a sense.

My Ex gf used to purchase Simoleons(ingame cash) and Pets for The Sims Online. I never understood why...its not like its real or anything. If the server crashes and all info is lost, you have nothings. Just sounded idiotic to me.  :|

I think my favourite one would have to be when Doom 3 was bought for 8 million dollars or something. That was classic. Of course the bidder withdrew all his money once he won.
