This is the first time I am playing this game, maybe I am just dumb because I am stuck.
I helped the bee's, they gave me the honey comb. I Helped the ants, they got the golden pin for me.  I found a boot in the desert, I used it to save the rat.  I got custard pie, Wand, Honey comb, and amulet *i gave golden pin to see fortuneteller*  I searched EVERYWHERE.  I dunno what else to do.  I wen't to the forestt, amulet protected me.  I squeezed the honey  west of the bridge to the witches house.  Now I just have wax.  What do I do?  I clicked on everything everywhere, tried all items on everything.
There's something else you need from the desert.

What could there be? I looked everywhere.
Map out the desert as there's a place or two in the desert that you haven't been to.
I found a map already online:
I went to bandit camp, hole in cliffs, inside that hole with gigantic door.  Been to all of the osasis, and searched skeleton, still nothing  :eek

I don't quite get what you mean by "Hole in cliffs". As for the bandit camp, didn't you find anything there? They're bandits, after all. Surely they've some treasure, or a way to get them...

It sounds to me you're still in the Dark Forest.  You need to search the inside of the Witch's house VERY carefully.  You'll get the items you need to leave the forest anyway.  BTW: you'll still need to go back in the desert to actually complete the game but you have all you need to get out of the forest.
Going into the forest without a certain item from the desert is a dead end.  From the sound of it, he doesn't have that item yet.
I cannot cross the bridge to get to the witches house, she's blocking my entrance.  As for Bandit camp, I looked inside the smaller hut.  I found nothing.  I also used all the items I mentioned I have on everything in the camp.
There's something about the temple in the desert.  Maybe if you wait around there for a while...
To tell you the truth, you did something wrongly for one of the quests and will very likely meet a dead end soon. It doesn't really matter anyway. You're still near the beginning and so restarting or restoring should be no problem.
OKay, I don't know how a hint will help this one any so read this spoiler only if you really think you need it.
When you get to the scene with the temple in the background (the cliff oasis) wait till you hear horses.  Hide behind the rocks and watch the scene.  Go to the bandit's camp and you'll find what you need in the small tent.  You are stuck where you are since the item to get rid of the witch is in that temple.
Though this may be more of a cheat if you just want hints you can go to this link: http://www.uhs-hints.com/uhsweb/kq5.php

Thanks everyone.

Thing is I didn't know the game was that smart and would even allow me to hide behind something, just assumed a 15 year old game wouldn't be able to  :p

Read this only if you want to get out of a possible dead end.
Collect two items from the temple and use one of them as payment to the fortune teller rather than the golden needle.
In the future, I'd suggest that you save often and in different slots, because you can encounter dead ends very easily in this game.

Gold is gold.
The two golden items are interchangeable, so there isn't actually a problem with giving the golden needle to the fortune teller.  You'd then just use the item from the temple where you'd normally use the needle.
Thanks for the clarification, adeyke.
Ok, but what about the tailor?

You can still get the item from him if you use the gold from the temple. Same with giving the needle to the fortune teller

Hmm... I wonder if either of those people would accept the witch's ill-gotten treasure as payment. Leaves a dead end, of course, but would be interesting to find out, nonetheless...
Nice idea, Anathoth, but you can't actually leave the forest with that treasure, so the point is moot.
Might be nice for whomever does a remake, though :)

I have another problem:
I think I'm in a terrible dead end, not very sure though.  You see when I was in the bird nest I didn't see anything to get, so then I was saved by the Eagle.  Now after all that I am inside Mordacks Castle, and I know I have to give Cassima the Necklace that you get from the nest.  I don't have it, and I can't get out of the cell without it.  I even deleted past saves to reduce clutter so I can't go back to the nest part  |I .  Am I completely stuck, do I have to start ALL over again? All is there a way out of this?  P.S. I still have saves as I just exit the Labyrith.
I think you may not be thinking of the same thing as me. I was referring to the
gold heart
which you have to take out of the forest to return to its proper owner.

If you have the Kings Quest Collection, it comes with a complete set of saved games for KQ5 so you can go back to any point in the game if you have deleted a saved game that you need.  That happened to me in the exact same place you mentioned, for the exact same reason.

Does anyone know where I can d/l saved games of KQ5, maybe perhaps someone has a saved file?  I don't feel like playing this game all from the start, it's a fun game but, I wan't to complete it.

Btw, that area in the nest was confusing.  I hate being timed to do something in a game.

Also, does KQ5 seem to have very simple puzzles, or is it just me?  Mazes aside, the puzzles are a no-brainer.
