This is the eighth newsletter being sent out by the development team at AGD Interactive. It's said that the third time's the charm. We certainly hope that sentiment reigns true for adventure game fans, because we're very excited to announce the release of our latest remake in Sierra's flagship series, King's Quest III Redux: To Heir is Human.
If it's been a while since you've played our King's Quest I and II remakes, be sure to refresh your memory on the enigmatic character known as The Father and his search for The Item. You can download recently upgraded versions of our first two King's Quest remakes here (KQ1) and here (KQ2).
Then, once you're ready, prepare to launch into an all-new adventure. AGD Interactive's finest yet!

King's Quest III Redux Released
Available now on PC and Mac.
Following in the tradition of our King's Quest I and II enhanced remakes, we are proud to present the next installment in the popular series.
King's Quest III Redux: To Heir is Human resumes where our previous remake, King's Quest II: Romancing the Stones, ended. The game features stunning new storybook-style artwork, a magical musical score, and high-quality voice acting. There are new scenes, puzzles, quests, characters, and locations to explore across the land of Llewdor and beyond. With a royal serving of features, this is AGD Interactive's most polished remake ever -- a must play!
King's Quest III Redux also stars the voice of Hollywood actor Robert Adamson who portrays the character of Gwydion, bringing a new level of vocal professionalism to this game. Robert played Charles Antoni in ABC Family's Lincoln Heights. And some of his other credits include Disney's Princess Protection Program, Jonas L.A., and Cold Case. It was great to have him involved in the production and to see him provide personality and characterization for our protagonist. Robert was able to step into a well-known character role, previously voiced by Robby Benson in King's Quest VI, and made the transition between actors sound perfectly plausible and age-appropriate.
In addition, John Bell returns as the narrator, voicing over 2,600 lines of descriptive dialogue! There are also performances by former Sierra On-Line employees Josh Mandel and Lori Cole, who both provided speech for characters in Sierra's King's Quest V.

An Age of Mages
For all the Adventure Game fans who enjoyed our work on the King's Quest and Quest for Glory franchises, stay tuned for our upcoming original project, to be released under the Himalaya Studios banner! "Mage's Initiation: Reign of the Elements" chronicles the adventures of D'Arc, a young apprentice, on his quest to fulfill the perilous tasks appointed by the Masters of his Order and graduate as a fully-fledged Mage.
Aimed at fans who enjoyed the subtle blend of Adventure and Role-Playing elements in Sierra's Quest for Glory series and the pseudo-medieval charm of the King's Quest games, "Mage's Initiation: Reign of the Elements" will combine classic adventure style puzzles with RPG-like character-customization. The game will feature four playable element-based Mage classes, permitting mastery over powerful Water, Air, Fire, or Earth-based spells. Each Mage class has a unique outlook on life and a different range of spells to overcome adversities and solve puzzles. The game is anticipated to release in late 2012.
As a special offer, we are reserving pre-orders for Limited Edition copies of "Mage's Initiation: Reign of the Elements". The Limited Edition is an exclusive collector's item that contains high-quality packaging, an artistically designed game disc, a printed map of the land of Iginor, an archaic spell book page, 3 character trading cards, a Mage's Initiation poster, and a bonus FREE KQ3 Redux poster!
The Limited Edition packaging and bonuses will no longer be available after the promotional period ends. Absolutely no advance payment is required to reserve a pre-order of Mage's Initiation: Reign of the Elements. Notification to make payment will be announced only when the game is nearing its release date. Please note that pricing is To Be Announced. (We request that only customers who genuinely intend to pre-order the Limited Edition put their name on this list).
To learn more about "Mage's Initiation: Reign of the Elements" and this special announcement offer, visit The Mages Promo page.
A new Mage's Initiation forum has also been opened for discussion about the game.

Classic Tierra Forum Returns
To aid your sense of nostalgia, we have another trip down memory lane in store for visitors who used to frequent our forums between 2001 and the end of 2003. Many of our forum visitors mentioned they missed the lush Green & Brown forum theme that our community forums sported back when we still called ourselves Tierra Entertainment.
For those of you longing for the colour scheme of yesteryear, we have created an "AGDI classic" forum theme which mimics the old colour scheme and style. The new theme can be used by anyone with a forum account.
1. Simply visit our forums at https://www.agdinteractive.com/forum and click the "User Control Panel" link in the upper-right corner.
2. Click on the "Board Preferences" tab on the left and then select the new theme called "AGDI classic" next to "My Board Style".
3. Click Submit and enjoy Green & Brown glory!

Future Plans
It's been a very productive and fun decade for us, but unfortunately we've reached the point where we can no longer produce any more free Sierra remakes. While we'd be open to the idea of doing this commercially if given the opportunity, we feel that in order to give potential future remakes the love and attention they deserve, they would need to be worked on full-time and not merely in our ever-diminishing spare time. Still, with Mage's Initiation: Reign of the Elements in production, we look to the future with excitement!

Conclusion
This concludes the eighth edition of the Official AGD Interactive newsletter. From everyone on the development team, we would like to thank you for your support over the past decade.
This will most likely be the last newsletter to be sent out by AGD Interactive, as the release of King's Quest III Redux was the final loose-end we were aiming to tie up. We'd like to thank all the Sierra fans who have cheered us on with support over the last 10 and a half years. We've had a lot of fun and it was great to witness how many people still greatly enjoy these classic games and how deeply people cared for them. Thanks to everyone for helping us keep the Quest series alive. Long live Sierra!
Remember to drop a line in the AGD Interactive forums and let us hear all about your adventures, quests, and experiences with King's Quest III Redux!
