Re: Is This it For AGD Interactive?
Seems pretty conclusively to be the two King's Quest remakes, which still haven't shown up on the new site and are confirmed to be currently receiving a new update.

Re: QFG2VGA Release Party! Chat Transcript
There are still a few diehard chatters as of this writing, but it's certainly saner than it was during the downloading.

This game is amazing
I've only puttered around a bit by the inn and out in the desert so far, but this game is amazing. It teems with details. Quite literally in the case of the dialog portraits... how you pack so much character into so few pixels, I do not know. Favorite moment so far: fighting a T-Rex (or whatever the...

Re: QFG2 Release Update
BTW XBoxNation, the torrent question has come up before and been answered... long story short, not only are AGDI legally obligated to not distribute via torrent, they wouldn't want to anyway. AGDI want all the downloads coming through their main portal where they're easily counted.

It's a decent question.
But the answer, Arastior, is that it is still the 24th in the Pacific timezone.

Eh heh heh... stack destruction, my friend. Stack destruction. That alone means CIV > CI & CII CIV may have a lot of unnecessary bells and whistles, but the core gameplay mechanics are definitely some of the best of the series. And as for the UN, if you don't like it, defy all the resolutions an...

Re: Knights of the Old Republic MMO Confirmed!!
If you disliked the unoriginality of KOTOR1, I'd certainly give KOTOR2 a spin. It bounces some interesting ideas and characters off the backdrop of a galaxy still dealing with the Mandalorian Wars and all its consequences. Might want to wait for the Restoration Project to finish though; while the ga...

Re: ** Quest for Glory II OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCED **
I believe the "Sunday evening" bit was in relation to Pacific time. (Which I happen to be in right now! :)) I've got a character that's got 100 in everything I was only able to get about 86 in climbing. How were you able to get 100 if I may ask? You can probably get some more, into the mid...

Rly? Which consoles? Intellevision, SNES, N64, PS2, Wii and Gamecube. I also have a VCR hooked in there, which doesn't make me geeker, but it does mean I get to watch the same copy of Jurassic Park I've been watching since I was like, seven. Intellevision? Wow. I bow to your superior geekdom - thou...

Re: Windows Service Pack 3
No problems here. I believe there were a few comps (prepackaged ones, nothing to do with anything you'd have constructed yourself) that had issues with it though, you might google around if you're worried about it. That's a Windows install issue though, SP3 shouldn't affect the game.

Re: Games like QfG, but not necessarily adventure games...
Yes, I thought the Planescape: Torment world seemed a lot more samsaric than Christian. Definitely a great game and I'd recommend it, though its humor is probably not its strong point. As for QFG-alikes... this game also stretches the definition of "RPG" but The Ur-Quan Masters is a space ...

Re: Knights of the Old Republic MMO Confirmed!!
The KOTORs are indeed excellent. Definitely worth a play - even, I would say, if you aren't a big Star Wars fan. As long as you're okay with fantastic sci-fi (space opera, whatever you want to call it) you're good; the KOTORs really take the SW universe in their own direction. The Force Unleashed do...

64-bit Windows
After reading all the trouble 64-bit Vista users are having patching Dragon Fire, I'm kinda curious... what's the benefit of using the 64-bit version compared to the 32-bit version? I've read that it actually runs 32-bit programs a bit faster than the 32-bit OS, but are there actually 64-bit program...

Re: Question about Ad Avis
Yes, of course. But I think Charles is asking, if there's an element, where's the elemental? The other four got their elementals, after all. :) Personally, I'm guessing a shady deal where Katrina summoned the pizza elemental to Mordavia in order to curry favor with Dr. Cranium. Just another thing Ad...

Re: Question about Ad Avis
Where exactly does it say that Khaveen arrives in Raseir together with Ad Avis? Just deduced from various characters' speech in the game. For example: This was a beautiful place to live a year ago. All of these changes took place because of Ad Avis. As you well know, the old Emir was deposed last y...

Re: Question about Ad Avis
I always wondered about that, because if Ad Avis knowingly kills the Hero in Shapeir then he voids the prophecy that he's trying to fulfill and he can't release Iblis. You'd think a guy who meticulously planned the summoning ritual for 50/70 years would be a little more eager to see the Hero to mak...

Re: QG4 Problem... and it's NOT the infamous Error 52
SirFuzzi (and anyone else having trouble post-belzorash patch): You also want to make absolutely sure that the patch is being used. This can be a problem if you're using DOSBox and mount a subdirectory as C: The easiest way to be sure is to edit the resource.cfg file in your QFG4 directory and make ...

Re: Hype shrouded in mystery
Wayninja: While it would appear the game proper is completed, you may have missed some tidbits that there is indeed work needed behind the scenes. AGDI needs enough mirrors ready and waiting for the file (it sounds like they're doing fine in terms of capacity that's been offered, but I haven't seen ...

Re: QG4 Problem... and it's NOT the infamous Error 52
As far as DOSBox goes, it's really not too much work anyhow, at least once you learn the four or five lines in the DOSBox file you actually need to worry about. Sure, it might take you about 15 minutes of testing to get the game running to your satisfaction, but isn't that worth good performance in ...
