no detect magic but can play keapon's game
Hi I was replaying qfg2vga v2.0 as a hybrid fighter who knows magic and just for heck of it I tried playing keapon laffin's game and it let me. The one problem is it'd let me play the mini-game but I had not bought or know the detect magic spell. Just wanted to bring this to your attention.

Re: Possibility of KQ5, KQ6, & KQ7 Remake?
I remember playing kq5 back in the day and I managed to get the amulet from madam mushka after I gave the gyspy the golden needle (he will take that instead of the coin) and immediately though of the witch's forest. It made me think I was making progress, but instead when I got to the forest (which...

Re: Telltale to Reboot King's Quest
I'll be worried if they take a King's Quest game and turn it into Lucasarts type game. As for that quote that telltale guy said I as much I hated dying in the desert and mordack's castle in kq5, but that was part of the challenge. Heck even Maniac Mansion, Full throttle and indiana Jones had it whe...

yes I noticed that fixed it, which is good to know, but hopefully they'll be a fix so you never have that problem to begin with

Re: bandit sleeping/moving-around randomness
I've been having some incredibly bad luck with the bandit seeming to constantly be awake inside the treehouse, and I'm wondering if the determining factor may be time-based rather than a random-number generator. During a recent playthrough, the bandit was awake 14 times in a row (after climbing dow...

Re: Manannan as a Cat *spoiler*
We did consider having him in the game (as a cat) more, but we expected people to take out their frustration on poor M-cat. We can't condone violence against animals, even if he is an evil wizard who enslaved you for 18years. :p I thought you could kick Manannan the cat in the original and even whe...

Re: feet in water when on land
Have your feet in the water when you spoon the mud for the storm spell. Then when you try to exit the water the sprite remained the same and it kept making water sloshing sounds. I tried it 3 times and it always did it.

feet in water when on land
I was going around getting the ingredients for the storm spell cause it was the last spell and i walked in that little stream and when I tried to get out of it Gwydion's character still had the feet in water sprite and it kept making splashing sounds. I tried to save it so you could see what happened.

Re: Pirate ship still? ^^;
Alex's Birthmark is in KQ3 AGI too. I think it's triggered when you talk to Rosella. Besides the yeti thing, it took me forever to figure outhow to get off the pirate ship. Cause in KQ3 AGI I thought you could swim off. Here you have to do it another way.

Sooo... why do you have a shovel? I finished the game with 210 points and didn't dig anything... Have I missed something or is it just there as a red herring? Btw - awesome remake guys, good way to keep it challenging but still fun! if memory serves me in the original you got a shovel somehow and t...

Re: [SPOILER ALERT] Missing point list
thumbs up for the alternative puzzles, reminded me of KQ6 and the two endings. Finally figured out the medusa one. Neat that Lori Cole voiced her. Is there anything with the yeti? I've just teleported and then aggravated him in the catacombs. i didn't beat it with curing medusa or finding the lette...

Re: Remake Comparisons
I haven't seen the "item" ending yet so i'm curious what that is like but I enjoyed IA's version of Graham and Alex spending some time together repairing Daventry before you know what happens in KQ4. Also I liked IA's music for going down the mountain. AGDI's I like the new puzzles with t...

Now I am stuck here as well. I understand the Seran's gate thing, but am confused which goes where. Love the QFG2 gag! Very funny. If you understood the "SERAN's" gate thing, you wouldn't be confused about which goes where... I loved it too. I wondered why Alex appeared in QFG2VGA.... It ...

I didn't have any trouble with it. I just figured the treasure = death cause it'd show what kind of person you were. I'm just glad I saw the books cause I almost missed them.

Re: easter eggs or something else? *SPOILERS*
I saw an easter egg when you go explore the far desert for the thousandth time. You get to see brigands and jackalmen fighting each other. I busted out laughing at that one. Nice QFG2VGA refence. I haven't gotten that that far to see the other one at the house but I just thought I'd mention this.

hint about map
I remember in the original game you could get a map that would let you teleport to anywhere you visited in the area your in. Did you keep that in your game and if so could you give me a hint where it is? Thanks.

Re: Future Remake: Part Deux
Well I really don't expect to get another remake, but I can play the hypothetical game... actually KQ4 SCI never really bothered me so that I never saw a big urgency to redo. I wouldn't bother with QFG3, I remember some bugs but nothing worth redoing the whole game in AGS. My 3 were SQ3, LSL2 and Co...

Re: KQ3 Redux Release Date announced
Wow you did it again. KQ3 Redux looks amazing so far what i've played. I love how it still has the clock on the top of the screen but it changes colors to warn you when Manannan is coming back. The story looks really fleshed out compared to the 1986 version. I loved the IA version of this game as w...
