Those 13 points

Okay, I finished again this time with a perfect score. One of the suggestions you gave me, Pidgeot, would have cost me 2 points, but I found a way around that by only doing it AFTER the point in time I was referring to... [spoiler]I waited until after I was out of the leprechaun cave before picking ...

Re: The right X

Yeah I finally found it myself just before coming here... The fact that I'm forced to play this game in window mode because it completely locks up each and every time I try to start it in full screen mode makes it very difficult to play. I found the X you're talking about and grabbed hold of the con...

Re: "far too slow"

Maybe on your comp; not on mine. I can't prove that other than by just saying that this is the case, but fifty times can't be just a coincidence... not that I believe in such in the first place. I have no way of playing on my comp right in front of you as for you to be able to watch... but I'm serio...

Re: King's Quest Collection

DOSBox isn't working, and I can't figure out why. I install the DOS program, run INSTALL.EXE to configure it, then I start up DOSBox, mount the proper directory, type CD SIERRA and KQ5. I get an error message, "cannot find C:\SIERRA\KQ5\RESOURCE.CFG. Run the Install program." And I just RA...

How "EXACT" does it have to be?

I'm now up to the Condor, yes I got past the Witch and stuff :D Although none of the trees in Cloudland showed as having a hole, no matter which tree I clicked on...I clicked on virtually every single tree, every single well, what looked like a hole... all I got was, "weird trees tower over you...

KQ Collection

Do the games on this collection come with an emulator, or have they been modified, so that they will run on Windows? If they all only run on DOS, that means it's impossible to use this collectior's edition with Windows 2000 or Windows XP, correct? (I have the original KQ5, and I can't play it on Win...

Re: Pushing the Witch into her cauldron

Okay, thanks for the help with the Elf, everyone. I'm now up to this point in the game (the Gingerbread House) and it seems I can't get INTO the house without FIRST knocking on the door and letting the Witch know that I'm there... as a result, she's ready and waiting soon as I enter and the game doe...

Re: Elf at Clear Lake

If you're saying there's a random chance he'll pop at any lake, I made a circuit of them all and didn't see him. If you're saying he always pops at the same lake, but only sometimes he's there and sometimes he's not... what do I do in the meantime? Does the entire game have to be done in the exact o...

Elf at Lake

Hiyas... I saw another thread devoted to this part of the puzzle, but he poster then said he'd figured it out, but DIDN'T post the actual solution... and also I've noticed that the moderators will immediately lock a thread that someone tries posting to after it's been "idle" for six months...
