KQ3: undeserved death while preparing sleep spell
At the point where it says to measure one cupful of nightshade juice into the bowl, I choose the cup, click it onto the nightshade juice and... the spellmaking fails and I get a game over. Using the nightshade directly on the bowl is the way to go. Doesn't make much sense, especially since in the sp...

Re: Easter Eggs / Sierra (and other) references in KQ3R
A tiny nod I really enjoyed is how the teleportation effect of the magic map is the same as in King's Quest 6.

Re: Original KQ3 Worst/Best Parts (SPOILERS)
Personally, I loved the spellmaking in the original. Yes, it is very unforgiving, but I love how it gives you the feeling that you are messing around with something very, very powerful and dangerous where one tiny misstep spells doom. I didn't even realize that it was actually a copy protection unti...

Shame you can't make a total mess of the EOF initiation by busting out your magic.

Re: *SUPER SPOILER* The biggest easter egg in the game.
The Pizza Elemental comes from the direction of Raseir, it's not heading that way. (which lies far to the east of Shapeir in the desert grid) Raseir is to the east? I always thought the caravan was heading west and you arrive to Raseir from east (remember that it is on the south side so east and we...

Re: *SUPER SPOILER* The biggest easter egg in the game.
I have to wonder, why does the Pizza Elemental come from the east? Does pizza come from the equivalent of India (with overly Italian accents) in Glorianna or something? Another thing that makes me question the placement of the elemental is that it is in the same direction as Raseir. Might have remai...

Defensive kip-up (Uhura often, though not always, uses this if you're in melee range when she gets up. This attack cannot be avoided and will always throw you back.) : 6 For the following comments keep in mind I play the game at medium difficulty or lower. I have noticed that Uhura only does this m...

Ahh, now I see. Danke. I'm guessing Resistance was that zero in the middle of other spell addresses which did not add a spell to the list immediately once I increased it.

Re: 2 bugs.
Intriguing. I hacked the Summon Staff spell in, but received a message saying I cannot summon it but I might find another one in Mordavia. I never knew that existed in the game. I guess I'll have to start playing as a wizard and search for that zero turning to one at the faery fight or maybe at the ...

Re: 2 bugs.
I only hack for one character; my "Paladin of Irony" which I've designed to be as godlike as possible (especially having both First Aid and Dragon Fire). QfG5 is of course easy in the extreme to hack, but QfG3 and QfG4 are the ones needed to alter if you want to acquire Juggling Lights, R...

Okay, I finished the game and this time got the extra messages about activating Blue Frog Mode with F10 and Battle Mode or something with F4. Oddly enough I do not notice anything happening when I press those buttons.

Character sheet glitch
I have noticed a couple of times that the character sheet displays the experience strangely at certain values. I have noticed this twice thus far, both when over a hundred thousand. I saved my game in this particular spot, should the developers be interested.

Wow, I had no idea the furnishings were determined by such varied variables. For Saba's weaving, after a bit of experimenting it seems that one time cycle equals two restored stamina points when just randomly walking around.

Re: *SUPER SPOILER* The biggest easter egg in the game.
The most recent time I fought the Pizza Elemental I encountered a bit of an oddity which might qualify as a glitch. The elemental punched the hero, and as the knockback animation was starting a pizza landed on him. This resulted in the knockback being canceled.

Re: Fighter/Thief/Mage Hybrid -> Paladin *some spoilers*
I personally like to import a wizard from 3 to 4 and change class if I want to just so I can get Juggling Lights spell. It isn't of any real use in that game, but I'm a perfectionist like that. I would say QfG3 is the one most worth playing through three times with different characters because each ...

Actually, you can also duck his punches, meaning that the dodge skill is kinda unnecessary. (you can also evade pizza's by advancing/retreating) Weapon use is useless too, since the elemental can't dodge or parry. Heck, I posit that certain low stats might even help in defeating it considering how ...

I was referring to the walkthrough, which says this in the description for bellows: This is the container for the Air Elemental. Issur will only give it to you if you beat him at arm-wrestling, which you can't do if you're a Magic User or a Thief. In which case, you'll have to wait until night and s...

Hmm? Issur would give me the bellows after I had beat him in arm wrestling as a wizard.
