I just thought I'd let everyone know that I'm taking down the FTP server shortly. I've asked Tierra to remove the link on the download page.

Please be assured that this is not out of anger, it's simply that I need my bandwidth next week to work. I'll be back up for the next game release.
<...

Well, I had to shut down the ftp server for a night a few days back, but it only seems to have increased it's popularity.
Welcome to the current stats of 164 files totalling 5 Gigs.

While I think KQ6 was the most impressive, my heart will always go for KQ3. Not only was your own identity a mystery (since you knew yourself as Gwydion, and had never before seen prince alexander), but you got to do what we always wanted to do -- use the wizards magic against him and all!

An...

Well, the server has now served 109 people 949 megs. I'm pretty proud.

I dug up my original king's quest three -- the best sierra quest game of all time (in my opinion of course). love the typing interface and the manual walking.

And I just turned Manannan into a cat.

A few weird problems though. It seems that sometimes, even when the floppy drive works f...

Well I hope everyone is happy, it certainly seems that way. Today alone, the server has served 23 files and 600 megs.

Oh, by the way, I dug up my original king's quest three -- the best sierra quest game of all time (in my opinion of course).

And I just turned Manannan into a cat.
<...

The reason it's kinda slow is because the max upload for cable is 40K/sec and I've set the max connections for you guys at 5. So 40/5 you do the math.

Good to hear you guys appreciate the service.

Actually I e-mailed Tierra after my first post here. They have all the information, and a...

Ok, I'm here to announce two things. First of all, the port is now 1979.

Secondly, the music pack is now available (in the kq1vga) directory.

Now, on to technical difficulties.
First off, the upload directory does not let you list its contents. That I have set intentionally. It is t...

As my two cents, King's Quest 6 was definitely the most impressive

BUT

King's Quest 3 was by far the best. Not only was it the magic we all love, but it remained in the mouse-less interface. I've still got it in the cupboard behind me, complete with the original manual and the 3.5 inch...

More importantly, what is your highest score?
I just played the remake for the first time. I got 141 of the 158. Damned if I know where to get the rest.

I don't know what to tell you. I can access it, as can others. In fact, someone's is downloading the speech pack right now.

Umm, all I can say is try another ftp client.

Yes that's correct. But there is also a kq1vga directory.
It contains the two files, I just logged on to check, and all is well.

It's there. I can see it.
There are currently two files:
kq1vga.exe
kqvgaspeech.exe

And I'm hoping someone will upload the music pack for me.

By the way, I will have to change the port number tonight. If 21 doesn't work for you, then it will be port 1979 -- my birthyear and b...

I've got the speech pack and the game. Feel free to grab them. I'm on a cable connection, so 40K will be the max for all connected users combined.

If someone would be so kind as to upload the music pack, that would be great.

ip: 24.103.232.135
port: 21
login: upload
password: ...

I have the speech pack, but not the music pack or the game itself (it died with 3 seconds to go).

I'll gladly trade, I'm on cable. ICQ#3468680
