You can get the fly/eagle spell + the music spell during your first trip down and then get the mandrake root during your 2nd trip. All of this could be done before the wizard returns from his first trip. This will earn you the GRUDGE award.

I am going to try playing the game by being nice to the Medusa and also not getting the map, so that the pirate wouldn't teleport back to town and see if there is another version of the scene.

You can only find him as a cat on the first screen after he eats for porridge and I couldn't even pick him up or kick him. When I go to the next screen, his original Cat comes back and Manannan the cat is never to be found again. I would expect to see 2 cats running around the house.

I received the Scatter Brain award for only using the stone but I didn't use the stone in the cave. I used it outside the cave several times and Yeti gave up after awhile.

I got the Blue Hedge Hog Award by finishing the game in 32 minutes. You will have to get the cookie made before Manannan comes back the first time, and that means going to town twice because you will need to make the fly/eagle and instrument spell first and then get the mandrake.

I believe the placements of the items to choose from Seran is also random

I recalled I used the dog hair for the spell and never picked up the cat hair until after I completed the spell. I received 0 points for the cat hair, which I don't think it's the game's intention. I can recreate this issue.

It wasn't easy, you pretty much have to get the cookie after the Wizard's first trip. Memorizing how to create spells also helps, plus I did skip 2 spells to get the minimum score.
