Finished the game, missing one point..

#1 Post by Rivena » Thu Jul 22, 2004 9:54 am

Hey all...
I've finished the game for about the 4th time today.. but there's still one missing point I can't seem to get... I've read other posts about missing points and made sure I had those commonly missed items.. but still can't seem to get that last point...

I have the ham, the note from the bottom of the bird cage, I used the fur in the youth potion on Hagatha instead of making her sneeze (youth potion does indeed give more points than sneezing), umm... what else.. I did disenchant the lion instead of killing it, I was kind to the fish instead of killing it.. I prayed in the church instead of giving away an item.. The note next to the bridge that you're supposed to give to the guy in town didn't give me a point at all when I gave it to him... I got all the correct points in the growth gem test... and I got the wolf bane... I dunno where I'm missing it :-(

Did you get both items from the pumpkins? Pay the ferryman with coins?

I sure did :)

I even stayed in the enchanter's cave and banned the enchanter from Kolyma / Daventry, but no points there either..

Yes, and yes... I don't think I've missed any items.

Me neither :( *bangs head on the monitor*

Anyone else have any idea where I'm missing that one point?

Yes I did... all the way til she said 'No!! You've read every last one of our good books!' And read the general information book she had infront of her, and kept bugging her to make sure there was nothing left...

So I dont know what else could be missing :(

Did you get the wolf's bane and use it when attacked outside the monastery?

Use the points list and check them one by one...

Hmm.. well... I went to the solutions/point list... nothing was clickable though to get detailed info on what I was missing..... so there was only a very general/broad idea of what you're supposed to be doing... but I read over each 'part' anyway and I've done them all... (how else could you beat the game 4-5 times and not do them all?)
And yes I did use the wolf bane, as I said before in a previous post.
I've gone through the object list as well, nothing missing there.
That 184 out of 185 is gonna drive me insane :-(

Did you read the journal when you came back to the church?

Yep, sure did... read everything, talked to everyone, repetedly.

All I can think of maybe is that note that you give to the man in town, but my point score didn't move when I gave it to him or held it back, he gives the comb for the pearl both with and without the note.

"Use the points list and check them one by one..."

Where do I get this? It sounds very helpful.

Everything you ever wanted to know about KQ2VGA (whether or not you were afraid to ask), can be found in Erpy's walkthrough.

Your score at the end is the same, regardless of how soon you took the Death Gem.

-1 point (spoiler)

#20 Post by greengardens47 » Wed Sep 29, 2004 4:25 am

I, too, am missing one point. I have also done a complete walkthrough using points lists and come up one short. Is it possible I am losing the 1 point climbing down the wall? If you don't take the death gem, do you still get the -1? Are you always supposed to take the dealth gem out of the coffin?

Did you or did you not read the last post I made in this topic?

Did you find the birdcage note?

It doesn't matter for your final score if you pick up the death gem from the coffin or not. Once you fall down the tower, the Count will take it from you if you have it.

One Point

#23 Post by greengardens47 » Thu Sep 30, 2004 11:40 am

Ah, I just finished the game for the third time. I got all the points. I missed one last trip to a certain scene. Thanks for all your help.

Um....the points list does not tell you all the points?

I played it with the walkthrough/points list and i can't get all the points....

The walkthrough is not the same as the points list. Don't confuse the two.
