Stuck...

#1 Post by Amayirot Akago » Fri Sep 03, 2004 3:48 pm

I'm stuck. Again. After obtaining the magic carpet and the youth potion, I've used the carpet to fly to the top of the mountain. Unfortunately, a snake is blocking my path. How do I get past it?

Mermerize it. Do you have anything that can be used as a tool to hypnotise someone/something?

its something you would definetly have (ie, not an item you could of overlooked) as you have the birth gem (no its not the birth gem you use)

There's really no need to reply to months-old posts. Erpy already answered the question. If the original poster needed more help, he'd have asked. No one is going to just silently watch a post for months hoping someone will eventually give a bigger hint.

adeyke, i can see your a moderator so ill curb any language i want to say to you. If the forums is so dead that a topic over a month old remains on the first page, :eek , what does it matter. Ive also noticed that people on this forum are hyper-critical, over stuff that doesnt really matter, ie, reviving old topics. My favourite forum, runevillage (www.runevillage.net/ThePub/index.php) is much better. Its active, the mods are pawnage and have opinions. Sure, not much on Kq or sierra games (none) but i would get more heartend responses from them. :cry

For the record, Adeyke was not so much scolding you, but simply pointing out to watch the date of a hint request before replying. (which also applies to another thread you posted in today, btw) Giving hints to people who were stuck a few months ago is a mistake commonly made by new members who post in the hint-section and usually a little notice makes people aware of it, so unnecessary posts are avoided in the future.

While I understand you simply tried to be helpful, there was no real need to post hints while it's most likely whoever created the thread beat the game shortly after.

Your (in my opinion) rather frustrated-sounding post leads me to believe you took that "keep an eye on the date"-request as a personal attack. This was not the thought behind Adeyke's post or mine, so there's no reason to react as you did.

Well, it's a habit we'd rather not have people adopt. A dead hint forum simply implies nobody's needing hints at the moment. Posting hints after the thread's poster likely finished the game already isn't very likely to revive the forum. It just takes up space.

Erpy is a true hero and lifesaver in these parts. Am enjoying this soap-op more an more, than game i should be attending to (and various other neglected chores in my real-life at the moment.)

pass the love
