Where is the little girl?
In the first part of the hints the solution talks about:<br><br>"That little girl with the red cape lost her basket"<br><br>I can not find that girl. Where is she?<br><br>I already have the first gem. <p></p><i></i>

She appears randomly one screen south of the entrance to Hagatha's cave. Just keep going in and out of the screen until she shows up.<br><br>~Wolfgang <p></p><i></i>

Re: Possum
Its not generally a good idea to revive a thread thats over 2 years old but I'll let it slide seeing as its to do with help on this subject and this forum is very quiet.camellia wrote:Have already met her once before and found basket got flower but now I have gem I can't find her! Have I messed up order of things?
But camellia, in future if your stuck on something and the topic doesnt appear on the first page or so then just make a new thread.
Anyway, welcome to the forum and don't hesitate to post back if you get stuck again! ;)

I'm going to voice my opinion...
If you find a topic that is on the same subject as what you are wanting to talk about, just post in it. Make sure that what you are posting has a point though. An example would be if you need more help or something wasn't covered in the topic already. A bad time to revive a post would be if someone asked a question, and no one answered it for several months. There really isn't a point in posting an answer to the question as the original poster probably doesn't need help anymore.
The whole rule started because people were pointlessly reviving threads and pushing recent topics off the first page. Whether you revive an old thread or you create a new one, you are still pushing topics down, so you might as well revive. In the long run, there are fewer topics in the forum and things are easier to read through and find.
Welcome to the forums, btw!

True Navy, but I see it in the way that if you need help there's no point searching pages and pages for a topic that is similar to your problem you may aswell just create a new thread.
Of course that doesnt work in a very busy forum where it is really annoying having the same question asked over and over, so with the likes of the KQ forums it doesnt matter too much that old threads get revived and it is a good idea for users to search before they post.

With an ever growing database that becomes more and more difficult to back up (and restore if the worst ever happens), I'm of the opinion that it is always best to search before you post.

I would say that, regardless of whether it's better to post in an old thread or to make a new one, there's no need to comment about it unless it's really an extreme case. That is, if someone makes ten new threads about the same question, or if they bump many ancient threads to add nonsense, they do need to be told to stop. However, if it's just one new thread or one necropost, it's more classy to just let it slide.
Total number of posts so far in this thread: 12 (including mine)
Point of this thread: finding possum, before or after the first gem.
Number of posts relating to this point: 4
Number of posts completely unrelated to this point: 8 (including mine)
Number of posts explaining how posts should remain relevant to the point of the thread: 7 (not including mine)
The irony of this thread: priceless.
