OK, I know it's been years since I responded to this thread, but since I already asked this question again recently, I decided to dig up this old post and make some long-overdue statements to it.
Till next time stay cool :smokin
Basically my idea of a 'new' dance would be a combination of both. There would be some new ones and some reused ones. If you got an idea for a new 'theme' then I suppose it would be fine, but my idea is just a different dance, not neccessarily anything too radically different, but nothing to similiar either. It's all up to you guys, really. What exactly is your definition of a new dance, if I may ask? Creating a new dance from the existing motions (simply done in another order), or adding a new theme/animations?
What's a snake dance?Hmmm... a snake dance perhaps?
There's no real need for that, I could... just well... ahh whatever! :pOr a strip act.

IT MIGHT TAKE 4 YEARS SO BE CALM AND WAIT.Shalkar wrote:So, how about it guys. This project has been going on for app. 2 years. You guys are doing a wonderful job but the game wasn't finished by Christmas. Oh well I guess good games take time. So I ran an estimate and I think this game won't finished until "Janurary of 2010!" ;) I don't mean that in a bad way but thats how I feel. Correct me if I am wrong.
Take it easy,
Shalkar!

I guess I'm gonna stay away from the popular, yet highly annoying, question of "When will it be done." Instead I'm just gonna ask if we could please get an update in the designer journal of how the bug squashing is going so that some of us with more patience and a little more intelligence toward these processes can make a general assessment ourselves of how far the project has come along and when we can be expecting the game available for download. Thank you very much for making this project possible, looking quite forward to playing this game in the future. :D
update
I to would like to see an up date. The bug squashing could make for good reading although not as interesting as the traler but we here about the bugs all the time and would like to know how it's going (Me at least).
Hi there, I'm new to this forum, and I've enjoyed all the Quest for Glory games, except Trial by Fire.... the EGA graphics made my eyes hurt.... I read in this thread that the programmers have missed some deadlines, I just want to thank you in advance for all your effords to make this cool update and hope you'll finish the game. Keep up the good work! I can hardly wait!
Best wishes, a fan.

Again??!!
Why the hell do you keep asking the same question over and over again, knowing the fact that the aswer from the "authorities" will be the same (i.e. soon).
I guess its like when people loose something they keep on looking for it the same place over and over again hoping that this time it would be there.
I suggest that the impatient fans play other similar classics for the time being (because replying to obvious mails take the AGD's time which delays the project even more).
Try "Ring World: Revenge of the Patrich", its freely available for download on the internet or "Wet: the Sex empire" (an adult game but I know that Sierra fans must have gotten old enough by now to play these games), as they are pretty good.

So this is like the Duke Nukem Forever project. :|Relight wrote:We do hope to finish it within the first half of 2005. This is why we avoided saying "it will be done by such-and-such a day." Yes, we hinted that we hoped to finish it by the end of 2004, but nothing ever stays 100% on schedule. Add to the fact that we're re-making these games for free, at no cost to you but at cost to us. You can trust that we are working very hard on this game and that the longer development time means that you will be getting a better game when it does release.

This news is from the news page 2006

Adjustments to the QFG2VGA remake code and bug-fixes continue on a daily basis as our to-do list shrinks in size. Several background screens are also in the process of having advanced lighting techniques applied to make the end results more visually appealing. There are still a large number of bugs involving the combat system and wilderness (desert) areas of the game, which will be our next major focus.
We're also in the process of preparing somewhat of a surprise for the future (two of them, actually) which fans of the first two King's Quest remakes should enjoy, but to say any more at this point would be telling.
