I ran into a friend I haven't talked to in a few years.
We were college roommates.
We played TONS of QFG2, as in HOURS on end for WEEKS.
Neither of us has thought about the game in probably 13 years.
I ran into the map in an old box I brought home from FSU last weekend, so I started searching.

Seems I have some hard drive space clearing to do for the 300 MB of installer plus installed game... Yes, I am that short on drive space.

I've been lurking around here for about 4 years, and I finally wanted to post to say THANK YOU AGDI!!!

I've always loved QFG, and always been sad that Trial was never updated, especially since it is the best of the series. This is a truly awesome mid-summer gift (it's like Christmas in August!). Again, Thank You to everyone who worked on this game, this is awesome !

I'm somewhat embarrassed to say this, but I've never actually finished QFG2 despite it being one of my favorite series of games. I started with QFG1vga, and I guess I was just born a little too late to appreciate the text parser. I'm excited for the chance to finally finish this game that I already know I will enjoy!

I too am a long time lurker. Been ere for 32 years . Never had any expectaions. Only hope. I have seen several fan made Quest for glory projects come and go over the years. And aside for "QFG 4 & 1/2," this is the only one that made it! This group produces products of amazing quality for free. They are one of a kind. Thanks again!

QFG2 is actually one of the more accessible games with text parsers, in my opinion. But I think I've only played through the game twice because of it (and because of that damn street maze). But yeah, I've always complained about how sierra should have made this game into VGA like the first. So it was a great surprise to hear about this project.

Heh, you know, that reminds me of when QFGII first came out... and 5MB was enough for the entire game...and more. Shoot, 1MB was just huge at that time! 1TB to us at that time would have been near unthinkable.

Ah yes. The days when a 500kb download could take eons. The thrill of watching it bump up 2kb per second. The agonizing defeat when, between 80 or 90 percent completion, someone else in the house would accidentally pick up the phone.

I remember when we bought Star Trek TNG: Klingon Honour Guard on CD and my dad freaked out when he found out that the game's minimum requirements asked for at least 250MB of free space! Also it recommended a quad speed CD ROM or higher and we only had a double-speed. The intro video was all choppy.
