Project: Path of the Villain (spoilers)
Once I'm done playing with the fighter (hopefully becoming a Paladin), I plan beating the game with a thief, and I was thinking on having the opposite behavior. Basically, I want to do all the wrong things the game lets you go away with, but I haven't found any guide that recopilates them.
I thought fellow players might be interested too, so I'm posting the ones I'm finding hoping that a collective effort can retrieve a full list.
Dishonest things that make you lose honor:
1. Break in/Loot all three houses.
2. Attack the Dervish (knives, rocks, whatever).
3. After the dance, call Shema and kiss her.
4. Empty Omar's purse.
5. Sell the spare key of the Katta Inn to Dinarzad
6. Attack the griffin
7. Steal Issur's bellows (Ronkaperplexous)
I wonder if attacking your saurus makes the game unwinnable, but I haven't tested it thoroughly yet.

Hey nice...you found the kiss/flirt with Shema gimmick. It's not merely after the dance, btw. It happens anytime she's at your table. It's just more fun in the evening, because the uncomfortable silence is more obvious.
No, attacking your saurus merely makes it leave you, meaning that if you do it far away from the city, you'll be in for a long walk.
You got quite a few of them already. There's one thing you can do at Aziza's place that'll piss her off so badly she'll zap your stamina points to 0 AND your health points to 1.
You can piss off Aziza and Issur in a multitude of ways, btw.
In Raseir you be a meanie at one point.

Yeah, that's how my thief always is. I was quite pissed in 5 that they rolled Honor into Communication, I liked the idea of the fast talking and charismatic thief who smiles as he robs you blind

Re: Project: Path of the Villain (spoilers)
Potential spoilers below (but not for QFGII):
I tried this through the original versions, it's especially doable with the Thief character. However, I also found that I'd take one Fighter and have him become a Paladin (as you did), but then do another Fighter that was more to your... EOF style of Fighter. For example in three as a fighter you could bash the merchant's bowl of fruit all over the street to stop the thief (poor merchant) or Yesefu, again in QFG... there's a point the Paladin would help him, as a Fighter you can choose. Obviously I choose to not with that Fighter. There was a great deal of not all that Heroic things I found you could do, even if you weren't a Thief throughout the games.
Just to keep in mind if you're interested in a Class a little less obvious to experiment with down the line. It always made sense for it to be the fighter, he was probably disgruntled he didn't get to become a Pally.
It never seemed right for the Magic user to do bad things though... even though I guess you could (QFGIII again, you could zap the thief with a firebolt, forcebolt or some other unpleasant spell) .... but it didn't seem nearly as mean as spoiling the merchants wares.

I agree with you, that concept seems perfect. I always thought the Thief shined the most in QFGII for just that reason, because it felt like you could play that part with him.Goilveig wrote:Yeah, that's how my thief always is. This one is pretty obvious, but it's not listed: stealing Issur's bellows instead of winning them at arm wrastlin'.
Re: Project: Path of the Villain (spoilers)
That was my plan too - but at the end, I just didn't have the heart. Well, it wasn't so much that, but i already had 800 dinars (after buying all the cool stuff for my room) and figured why zap my honor down to zero for the rest of the series for 35 dinars that would just go to some guard in rasier (or rather, money dropped in Khaveen's room when i realized that the blackbird made me overweight! yes, my thief left valuable money to the most ruthless man in the land of Shapier for a worthless blackbird - some knave he is)!DrJones wrote: 5. Re: Project: Path of the Villain (spoilers)
I never leave Khaveen money. I just drink from my waterskins until it puts me at normal weight again.
As for other dishonorable actions:
-Backstabbing brigands and jackalmen in the desert.
-Giving a fake name to the Astrologer.
-Trying to force your way into Aziza's house.
-Giving false answers to Aziza and the WIT wizards.
-Dropping the Sapphire Pin.
-Peaking on Zayishah with the X-ray specs.
-Going to Raseir's Fountain Plaza at night and killing guards with rocks/daggers/spells.
-Going through the antechamber and dealing with Khaveen the 'thief' way.
-If your really adventurous, typing 'suck blue frog' twice by parser.

Selling the key doesn't freeze your honor on 0. I believe it reduces it to 1 and you can still get it back up.

Does any of this villanous stuff prevent you from finishing the game?

I think the point is they are trying to see how much you can get away with and still beat the game.CrazyStalker wrote:Does any of this villanous stuff prevent you from finishing the game?

Re: Project: Path of the Villain (spoilers)
Yeah, but maybe there's something to watch out that makes the game unfinishable.
Re: Project: Path of the Villain (spoilers)
We've been trying to avoid dead ends as much as possible, so unless you drop some important item that can be dropped (due to it giving a funny death message), it's hard to make the game truly unwinnable.

Re: Project: Path of the Villain (spoilers)
I don't think I ever found this. I am a failure.Erpy wrote:There's one thing you can do at Aziza's place that'll piss her off so badly she'll zap your stamina points to 0 AND your health points to 1.
j/k
Re: Project: Path of the Villain (spoilers)
It might have been a last minute addition, if it makes you feel better.

Re: Project: Path of the Villain (spoilers)
How about:
-Letting the Al Scurva die in the desert
-Joining EOF bij 'killing' your attacker
-Not helping Julanar
-Picking your nose everywhere (you get some funny responses)

Re: Project: Path of the Villain (spoilers)
Thanks, I think only a fighter may join EOF, though, and I plan to use a Thief with some magic skills. I'll add these later when I get some free time, and I'll also put the x-ray googles that I somehow missed.Moosse wrote:How about:

Re: Project: Path of the Villain (spoilers)
Shame you can't make a total mess of the EOF initiation by busting out your magic.

I wish one had the option of MURDERING Aziza. What a manner-nazi bitch.

How rude of her to value politeness and respect when conversing with a complete stranger!Kotskoets wrote:I wish one had the option of MURDERING Aziza. What a manner-nazi bitch.

Bump again!
I found more dishonorable actions:
- Trying to steal the apothecary tools.
- Throwing a rock/dagger to the blue frog.
