Just got the invite to the EOF. Been trying every door on sword avenue but can't find the right one. Anyone have specific directions on where exactly to go?

You do indeed need a certain amount of communication skill in order to talk to the tree. (about 80 I believe)

haha sorry i had fixed that problem, so i edited the post to suit another i was having. On a side note my communication was 83 when i was having the problem with the tree.

The screen you're looking for is a dead-end alley with a door at the end. The time must be "night is still young" for this the door to be open. You'll know it when you see it.
