Help with KQ3 redux!!!
I'm stuck at the lever puzzle on the book shelf in mannanans study. How the hell do you figure this out?

You don't. The solution is elsewhere.

This one seems to have stumped a LOT of people. Try looking in another place with books.
No, not Manannan's room.
No, it isn't in the desert.
No, it isn't visible with the telescope, or at least if it is, the game won't show the player.

And on top of it there are several threads on it already, if people would look.

I think this is one of those points where knowledge from the original really bites people...if it was a completely new game, people probably wouldn't even try to get into the lab prematurely since they didn't know it was there and didn't know how to open it until the journal mentioned it.

Re: Help with KQ3 redux!!!
Yeah i was just thinking that... i seem to have got stuck on almost all of the tricky points aside from the trapdoor puzzle, that never confused me one bit.
Re: Help with KQ3 redux!!!
I wonder about that. In the original, I searched the house first and found the dungeon. Then the spell book gave me a reason to go outside and visit the rest of the world.Erpy wrote:I think this is one of those points where knowledge from the original really bites people...if it was a completely new game, people probably wouldn't even try to get into the lab prematurely since they didn't know it was there and didn't know how to open it until the journal mentioned it.
In the Redux, you can't get into the cellar before you've been outside... but a good reason to go outside is lacking.

Well...only if you don't consider a mysterious figure waving at you from a cave a good reason.

Hehe, fair point.Erpy wrote:Well...only if you don't consider a mysterious figure waving at you from a cave a good reason.
It still felt a bit unnatural that the solution to opening the dungeon was outside of the wizard's house. But then again, it could be the problem of having played the original.

I also found 'the note' and certain locks of hair. VERY good reasons to wander off if you put them together
