Because King's Quest was the first big serie Sierra made, he was the first to be remake, but at this time, Sierra use SCI and with this engine, you must use the old keyboard command to play it, this is why Tierra remake it in VGA.

We pretty much made up our mind considering future plans. But until AGD2 announces anything, I'll use my right to remain silent.

Police Quest 2 Vga Defiently!

I would have to vote Police Quest II. The Vengence VGA Remake most defently. I love that game so much it was my most favorite game from the whole series. Oh boy I remember the days when I was in the 7th grade in middle school. I brought that game to school installed it on one of my teacher's computers that my friends and I would do just whatever we could to play Police Quest II. besides doing school work. My friends also loved the shooting range it was fun. The best part was you could draw your gun anywhere you wanted to and shoot anybody you wanted. (Of course there was no animated blood but it would of been fun to see.) Expecially shooting the Security Guard at the Airport.
I also loved the newspaper how sonny makes the front page. Sonny Bonds has Gone Berserk Empire State Building ready to fall. Thing's like that made me laugh. Anyway, if I had my choice in seeing a 3d adventure game being remade from Sierra On-Line it would have to be Police Quest II. VGA But hey that is my fantasy it's not for me to decide, right? But even if the Anomonymous Developers from Tierra On-Line would like to give it a shot in a Year or Two from now I'd be most happy.
So, my question is for everybody who is reading my reply who would love to see Police Quest II Remade. (Who would love to see this true classic remade and if I get enough support on this Tierra might be willing to remake Police Quest II.)
I know it takes lot's of time and patients but I am also willing to wait until the King's Quest II. VGA, Quest for Glory II. VGA+ and the Secret Project finished before I fantise about Police Quest II. Sorry I got Sentimental about the whole thing. A thousand apologies. Anyway, I go to hit the sack. Have a nice evening ladies and gentlemen.

As much as I love PQ2 and LSL2, I have to vote for KQ3. The magic system was awesome, something new for the time that hadn't been seen before. I would love to be able to try it again.

That's was hard choice for me, I'd like to see KQ3, LB1 and CoC remade. I with KQ3, since you already have 1 done and are almost done with 2.
- Wow, this is my first post in like 5 months.
Wow.

I, too, want to applaud the professionalism of Tierra. You guys rock! I'm dissapointed that the Secret Project was cancelled, but oh well.
I was relieved when I found out the Secret Project was SQ, though. When I read the interview at adventuregamers.com, and saw that it was a remake, I was slightly worried. A Good friend of mine, "Harper", is the scripter for Werewolf Productions, who've been working on a PQ2 remake for about three months now. He was really hoping it wasn't PQ2 you were working on, as Werewolf Productions is rather understaffed, and would probably just sac the project for something else.
Like others have said, nothing you could've announced would've excited me more than QFG2VGA. QFG2 and PQ2 are my all time favorite games out there. I can't wait for QFG2+ to be finished. Once again, You Rock!!

Ummm...maybe you should read through this entire thread again. The secret project was SQ2 alright. We talked about it earlier this thread.

Yeah oops, I guess since this thread has been stretched over like 3 weeks I missed it.
Sorry if I clogged your bandwith with such silly questions.

I wonder if Kippesoep needs help with the music department...? ton't got his hands full right now, and I'd love to do some "space-y" stuff.
Anyone know how to get a hold of him?
(And I'm just on the verge of getting that new synth for the job!)

Kippesoep mentioned that the music is the only thing he'll need help with. I don't have his e-mail adress, but I believe he checks the subspace channel every once in a while, so maybe you could post your offer there.

Hmm, I wonder if Kippesoep has tried the Tierra SQ2 demo and has something to say about it?
Anyway, that was quite an excellent demo of SQ2 you guys made.

Agreed! That was a good-looking start to SQ2! If the whole game looked that good, we couldn't ask for more.
But then, let's see what the competition offers.
I still would rather see everything in native 640x480 but without being too sluggish.... that must just be inherent in the Adventure Game Studio program itself. [shrug]
Nice work! Hope KQ2 looks as good! (I have no doubt!)

Beta testing hasn't started yet. It will after the AGD's have done some checks themselves. We hope to release the game in september. (or late august with some luck)

Fender178, I can't remember if it's in this thread or not, but AGD2 already announced that they're cancelling their secret project, which was SQ2, so that there will NOT be two separate teams remaking the same game. They don't want to step on Kippesoep's toes, so to speak. That, and as I understand it someone who was working on the project left unexpectedly.
Hope that clears it up!

...I understand that this thread is kinda long and that it takes equally long to read everything in here, but I would really appreciate it if people would read all posts in here before asking questions that have already been answered. (wait, even IF you've read all messages don't ask questions that have been answered already)
Not only would I end up repeating myself over and over again, but it would also clutter up this thread.
Thank you very much.

Blech. I kind of want to change my vote now.
I played a game of the Colonel's Bequest for the first time in years over the weekend. I must say, I had forgotten how fantastic it was. The setting, the plot, the characters, and the mystery itself were all top-notch. And although I'd really like to see King's Quest III remade, I'd rather see the Colonel's Bequest remade first. So, I think the remakes should proceed in the following order:
1. King's Quest II
2. Quest for Glory II
3. Laura Bow and the Colonel's Bequest
4. King's Quest III
5. Police Quest 2, Leisure Suit Larry 2, or Conquests of Camelot
