Oscars

I'm not usually as concerned with oscars as I am this year. I saw Brokeback Mountain again today and I must admit I can't see why this movie has been nominated 8 times, and Crash only a few times. If Crash won't win the oscar for best movie, I'll kill myself. Seriously.

So, what do you lot think of the nominations this year?

Spikey (remembering an old controversial thread).

Well, looks like you don't have to kill yourself after all.  ;)

(Sorry, looked like a lonely thread)

Well, who would have thought what kind of a good predictor I've become.

Crash is the greatest film of the millenium. I loved that film.

No questions, just watch it. ;) I hadn't heard of it either until I had to watch it in film studies. I think the whole class were talking about it the whole day.

It basically centers around racism in several different stories of seperate people which are all linked together. How experiences change them to better people or in some cases how it makes them worse. It's an excellent film and wasn't surprised it got an oscar.

Made me cry two times at random points. I don't know why. Weird.

Hmm.. I liked the movie okay, but it wasn't a 'best of' in my book.  I did like how they linked some of the characters together by the end of the story.. remeniscent of Magnolia, but I thought it was very predictable.

Yeah but by far not as predictable or boring as Brokeback Mountain.
