Not meaning to advertise or anything, but, I figure we are all at least semi-interested in these various Sierra-related projects.  I played it.  Looks promising.  The models are pretty good.  And voice-acting wasn't bad.  We'll see I guess.

I've already seen this a while ago. Quite a bit of bugs. But what can you expect from a public alpha? Interesting...

I believe they released a patch. I haven't tried it with the patch though...

It sucks.

Bugs aside (because you should expect to find them in an early alpha), the writing is extremely poor; clunky, full of poor word/phrase choices and sprinkled here and there with little grammatical mistakes. Methinks they need to replace the writers.

All in all, it is an amaturish demo with quality media.

I'd just also like to take the time to say that, as far as acting goes, they needed to have someone making sure all the actors pronounced the names the same. Graham said something about Valanice and then the Narrator turned around and called her "Valience." ??! First off, that doesn't even LOOK right. I mean, as an actor, I know it's hard to read and act at the same time so you end up glancing at a word and thinking you've got it. However, it's the director's job to say, "Uh, that word is actually this word." You don't let them keep pronouncing it that way, and definitely not all the way into the final recording. That's just all kinds of sloppy. There were some other words mispronounced in this fashion too that weren't names but were just out-and-out sloppy on the director's part. Hopefully they can get her back to do more lines, because if this is all they have to work with they're quite SOL.

As far as the actual acting, I liked the voice of Graham a lot, but the others were merely "okay." There was nothing good about them and nothing bad, which is fine enough in the end, I guess.

Hey guys! :p

Thanks for the... feedback.  I just want to point out that we released a Patch v.2.0 a while ago at http://www.tsl-game.com/trilogy/ which fixes many of the bugs.  Unfortunately, we haven't gotten a chance to fix the Valiance thing yet, but rest assured that it is reported as an issue.

If you have any other feedback or critcism, please be sure to post it in our forum at http://www.tsl-game.com/forum/ so I may do something about it in a future patch or release. :)

Amy will definitely re-record any lines she needs to for the full version of the game. The lines were recorded under tight time restrictions last November for the demo we presented to Vivendi, and when we decided to make a version of that demo public it would have been impossible for her to re-record those lines at the time because she'd just had a baby. The "Valiance" blooper aside, we're all absolutely thrilled with Amy's work not only as narrator but also as the vocalist for The Day You Were Gone, the love theme from The Silver Lining.

While I'm here, I'd like to offer my sincerest congratulations to AGD Interactive/Himalaya Studios from everyone at Phoenix Online Studios on the release of your first commercial game. It's an incredible step for your team to take, and one we certainly hope to accomplish ourselves one day. I personally wish all of you the best of luck in your future endeavors, both professional and personal. The dedication shown by your company and fanbase, as well as those shown by adventure gaming projects everywhere, are proof that the spirit of adventure games was never actually gone at all.
