AGDInteractive - Sierra Adventure Game Remakes Forum

So first off: this game ROCKS!! I'm diggin how different it is so far, and I've got probably 2 hours of play time in, and haven't even gotten to the oracle.

BUT I have a problem and I can't seem to figure it out. On my first outing in the game, I had grabbed everything I could find in the house & ran outside, eager to explore the world of Llewdor. Unfortunately, my grin lasted about 30 seconds before I was bonked by robbers Unfortunately, that means that they stole my bowl, and my spoon & my mirror, which has left me in a bit of a predicament.

I got the musical talent potion made, and the pitcher of water from the bard (beautiful singing btw haha!!) and used that, but now I'm stuck. I don't have money so I can't buy the rose essence, and I can't get money because I can't get into the robber's den because I can't overhear them as a fly? Is there something I'm missing or am I stuck? I know you said that it's impossible, but I can't figure out what to do from here.

Can anyone give me a hint, or possibly point me in the right direction? <3

The store doesn't sell rose essence. You get it somewhere else. Explore the mansion again.

FOUND IT!!

Is the bandit in the hideout randomized like in the original? I keep coming back to the screen, and the bandit has been in there every time without fail. Is there another way I should be approaching this?

He's always in there, but it's random whether he's asleep or awake. Just keep climbing down and up and check his condition after each trip up the ladder. The odds of him dozing increase over time.

Thanks! I was wondering about that.

So, I have no problem going in there and he's dozing. But, what now? I can't ever seem to get the gold or do anything else without him waking. i don''t remember having any trouble in the original heh.

EDIT: NM, figured it out. Bah!
