The pouch that is suppose to be in the tree, I have gone back several times, used the eye, then the hand and nada. I know I had problems getting it at first but can easily get it now. First, be sure that it's on the right screen. I don't know if there are different stumps, but it would explain it... The screen is to the south of the right half of the goat pen or just due east from the castle. Then click the eye on the opening of the stump. If you get a message about it being old and rotted away, you're clicking it too low. You should get a point. Then just click the hand anywhere on the stump to get the pouch and another three points. Select the pouch in your inventory and click it on yourself to see the diamonds and get yet another three points. ..for the next version, I've made the messages for clicking the hand/eye icons on the stump "prompt" the player more into locationg the pouch. <p></p><i></i>

it's on the screen with the long skinney log in the middle, the stump at the bottom left corner, and the beginning of the pond at the bottom. If you're still having trouble I could check to see what areas surround that screen, but I'm not on the computer where i installed the game on. It's south of the right half of the pen, not the left. I always get lost in Daventry, but I can just check the game for directions <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START ;) --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> ...<br><br>BTW, there seems to be rather strange behavior with ego interaction. If you're standing behind that stump (or the log or probably anything else) and click it, Graham apparently has priority over the other things. That is, you can click on Graham as if the stump wasn't there. You have to click next to where Graham is to get it right. I don't know if this can be fixed or not, but it would be much more intuitive and would make this puzzle easier if the click always actually went to the stump... <p></p><i></i>

If you go to the goat pen screen where the gate is, and then go down one screen, that's where the stump is located. <br><br>The game is fussy about where, in particular you click the stump. If you click too low, it will give you the message about being damp and rotten. So you'll need to click on the very top part of the stump (where the hole is) and make sure that the red dot on the eye icon is lined up properly with the hole. Once you have 'noticed' the pouch, you are able to use the hand icon in exactly the same place to pick it up. <p></p><i></i>
