I couldn't download KQ1VGA for several days until two nights ago, but then I discovered I couldn't download the voice pack. JustAdventure is always down. I really can't wait to play this game with the voices included, but I still can't.

When I download the voice pack and install both, should I get any problems? Is this game made with newer systems in mind? Because I have problems getting old games to work properly on my fast PC.

Hi Nadine, the downloads page on the main Tierra site have been updated with several links to the latest versions of the King's Quest 1 VGA game, voice pack and music pack.

As for problems playing this game on your new fast PC, nope there shouldn't be any. Even though the games are old, they have been re-designed with modern computers and the Windows operating system in mind. They should work fine without any problems on Win95, Win98, WinME, WinXP and Win2000.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub57.ezboard.com/uanonymousgame ... >Anonymous Game Creator 2 at: 3/31/02 11:37:27 am

And to answer your other question, KQ1VGA runs under a windows compiler of AGS which means it's fully Windows compatible and even seems to run on Win2k and XP.

There are no CPU-dependant bugs in the game, so I don't forsee any technical difficulties with modern PC's.

<img src="http://httpd.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nashh ...

Ah, I checked your site today, and the justadventure link worked! I have yet to try the game out - I'm just here first making sure I shouldn't get any problems (in case they are hard to fix - it's better to be prepared. Then again, if it ain't broke don't fix it.)

I have Windows XP, so I hope this will work as you said it should. Thanks so much.
