guards catch me everytime

I started playing KQ 1 today and did quite a good job I think. I have the mirror and the chest. I found out about the condor and the rat, but after that the guards catch me and I can't do anything about it. I tried the pebbles and the note, but apart from that I have nothing left to give them or fight them. Can someone help me?

I never played the original.

Thx.

There are two possible solutions here. Hint: Leprechauns LOVE music. Do you happen to have a musical instrument handy? Aside from that, note the giant statue of a four-leaf clover in the room where the guards catch you. Perhaps a clover of your own would do to the trick.

Hopefully, if you don't have either of those items, you have a savegame before you took the ride with the condor, otherwise you may be stuck. <img src=

And being stuck is never a good thing with Adventure games <img src=

I started all over again, because I bribed the troll on the bridge with the golden egg, and didn't use the goat. In the first game I found the clover, but now I forgot where, please help me.

I know I have to get the fiddle in the carpenters house, but I didn't find out how. Don't tell me, I try to find out.

The clover meadow is north of the place where you meet the Fairy Godmother.

<img src="

It was real fun to play it. Congratulations to all the developers who built this remake.

One last question: I've got only 131 points and I the link for the walkthrough is dead. Can anyone tell me where I can find the items or actions I missed out?

Thx a lot.

Without knowing exactly what you did in the game, no. You most likely just missed some random items, or perhaps you didn't solve everything the best way. Using the clover for the leprechauns, for example, gives you fewer points (due to not being able to get the King's sceptre) than using the fiddle would have. Letting the giant fall asleep instead of killing him with the slingshot. Throwing water at the dragon instead of killing him, etc. Also, you may have missed out on some of the random treasures - the golden walnut, the golden egg, or the pouch of diamonds. You also may have missed the elf's ring or the magic soup bowl. Did you guess the gnomes name correctly and use the beanstalk or did you use the mountain door to get to the giant? If you did get any of the optional treasures, did you give them away or did the dwarf steal any? That will cost you points. Did you read the note on the witches' table? Did you get the cheese from her house? Did you taste her house? Did you push her in the pot?

...Just some things to try next time, should you decide to play again. <img src=

I certainly don't mean to imply that I know more than a moderator, because i DONT. However, causing the giant to fall asleep gives moe points than killing him with a sling slot. Perhaps it was a typo.
P.S. If i'm wrong, than something's crazy because I got full points, so let me know! MAYBE I CAN GET MORE THAN FULL!
