I want all the background info on The Father. Does anyone have any info on him. He tries to take Graham's crown, but Graham is old then. Is that supposed to be when Rosella is a prisoner of the Dragon? Anyway, will someone give me the info on his character and the background of how he became the General and about the Brotherhood of the Pack. <p></p><i></i>

The second test indeed took place at the time Alexander just escape Manannan and Rosella was imprisoned by the three-headed dragon.<br><br>The brotherhood of the pack and the Black Cloak Society are not related, btw. The brotherhood used to be a normal order of monks until an enchantment turned them into shapeshifters and also affected their minds.<br><br>As for background info on the Father, sorry, but all the info there is to obtain on him is in the game. I do indeed know a tiny bit more about him than I let on in the game, but I'd like to hold onto the ideas. Who knows, I might get to use them. It woudl be great to revisit him at some point. He was so damned fun to write for! <p></p><i></i>

Well, Wookie, he certainly blew me away! A truly scary and powerful arch-villian. I already asked permission to write him into "Quest Cross" (a KQ/SQ crossover fanfic I'm working on). I hope not to do too bad of a job. When was Rosella imprisoned by a three-headed dragon? Is that part of the original KQ3? I've never finished it, but she was already happy and free by KQ4, right?<br><br>I'm trying to sort out all my KQ history. It's been a while. <p></p><i></i>

Freeing Rosella and defeating the Dragon is the final quest in KQ3. I'm pretty sure that the Father's name is Shadrack, The leader of the Society of the Black Cloak. In King's Quest 6 Alhazered wrote a letter to him. Xavier's King's Quest page features a section called the black cloak theory, in which is written speculations about Shadrack and the Black Cloak, all of which make perfect sense. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if Xavier's site is still on the web.<br><br>Oh, and BTW, does anyone know where I can get a picture of The Father? <p></p><i></i>

The Father exists only in KQ2VGA and in the mind of Cadbury Wookie. He isn't the same person as Shadrack or any other character from the other KQ games.<br><br>The only pictures of the Father are in KQ2VGA. His true name is also revealed there, if you look hard enough. <p></p><i></i>

I don't believe it is ever mentioned that Shadrack is the head of the Black Cloak Society. I don't remember Al Hazred's letters word-for-word, but I don't believe anything said he was the head of the society. He may have had a high position, but nothing was stated. If the KQ2 people are in the BCS (it isn't mentioned by name, and that was done on purpose), then The Father would be the head of it all. The only sure members are Shadrack, Al Hazred, and presumedly Mordack, as he is mentioned by Shadrack as an acquaintance and ally/friend, and Al Hazred did send Cassima away to him. Shadrack WAS going to be The Father originally, but I abandoned that idea after cottoning on to the notion that he might pop up in the KQ9 fangame. (I don't know this for certain, but it is a reasonable assumption - and it's certainly something I would do if I were writing that game.)<br><br>That was back when I gave a hoot about what other fangame authors were doing.<br><br>As it turned out, The Father was more valuable to me as an original character.<br><br>Looking forward to seeing Shadrack in action soon... if he appears in KQ9! <p></p><i></i>

I'm not sure that I'm right, but I think he is the brother of the first king of Daventry. That's all I'll say in case I'm wrong, or in case some of the moderators would prefer it if players found it for themselfs. <p></p><i></i>
