I've experienced the brunt of this game and now I've done the bare bone minimum of game. Yes, I Renodox have managed to get what I call the lowest score possible. It's exactly 143 points. Doing this I had to leave out some things that made me feel somewhat bad but others were okay. Strange it was that there was no mention that I got the least points but hey, the goal is to do the best not worst. I now issue this challenge: do worse. I'm betting not one of you can get a score lower than mine 'cause it's not possible <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /devil.gif ALT=":evil"> . Give me a week or so and I'll post up the list of what I did and the point list for it. Till then, give it your best shot. Oh, and this is for version 2.0. Wow! When I tried for lowest score, I got 147. How did you manage to get so few of them? I think I left out pretty much everything you don't absolutely have to do? The only two points that I know that I could have spared are: 1) with the Cloud Spirit. I chose twice the best solution and once the worst which gave me four points. By choosing instead three times the second best, I'd have been able to do with 3. 2) I ate the sugar cube because I didn't feel like dying a dozen times when going to the castle and back. I tried the offering for a lower score but, in the end, you get more points for finding the jewels than just praying. Consider: to get the jewels you must 1) find one in the tree and 2) help the pumpkin. To help the pumpkin you must first spring the trap, get the coins, drop the coins in the fountain, talk to the merchant, steal the pumpkin, return the pumpkin and that gets you the second jewel. Considering most actions give you at least 1 point that would be 6 point right there praying only gives you 2 points. So unless giving up the jewel takes away 5 points (assuming you don't get more points for helping the pumpkin) it's less points for just praying. And what of the single jewel you need? It goes into the emerald. The necklace won't work for neither the emerald nor the offering. That's the thing most people miss. It's not just the points you get for the item, it's the points you accumulate for GETTING the item. Check out the Kq 1 lowest score. In that one there's a reason I chose the pouch above all other things.

I will have to try to get a low score on kq2vga next time I play it. Ps the lowest score i have seen on kq1 (agi ver) is I think 43 or so it was done by my brother a while back.

Yeah, there's a difference between the two games. For example, in the original you must walk in the castle and bow to King Edward. Do this and you leave with 4 points. In the remake, it's all done in the intro and you get no points. It's also the fact that some things that work in one game won't work in the other. In the remake the ring can be given as payment, in the original it can't. In the original you get points for entering and leaving the dragon's cave. In the remake you get no such luck. Speaking of which, the dragon MUST be dealt with in the original, the godmother's spell does nothing for you (the sheild might) so you have to either kill or incapitate it. I suppose the biggest change is that in the original you can obtain the shield first, of course this makes the whole game boring and pointless since you can't get killed unless by drowing. I wish I could tell you how to get the lowest score (theoretically it's 50) but I can't beat the game since it locks up whenever the bird drops me. If you can do it, that'd be great.

You forget about using the ring. I noticed that you got two points with the cloud test. It is possible to pass the tests with only getting one. Bump.

I just tried this, and yes I get 139 as well.

In Step 37 of Renodox's solution, you can get one point instead of two on the Cloud Test (this was already covered). Steps 56 & 57 (Unlock and read Treasure Island) are unnecessary, which gets rid of two more points. Finally, insert Step 65 1/2 in which you throw the coins back to the dwarf, which loses one more point.

This yields a solution with four fewer points, or a final score of 139.
