Great Game

Not sure where a person can just post comments about the game. Move this thread over if I misposted.
But I just have to say that KQII VGA has been one of the best Adventure games I've played in years. Although there weren't many other adventure games I've played within the last 5 years. KQII is very memorable.
I played Conquests of Camelot not too long ago, because it was the one before Longbow. Eh it was ok. And then I did the sequel to EcoQuest. And eh that was ok.
Although I loved their respective counterparts, those games I played weren't that memorable. And they were made by Sierra....
I came across Tierra, while looking at KQ9. And I thought it was quite nice that a lot of people were making remakes. I played KQ1, and it rather turned me off a bit. It was exactly what the original was, just looked a lot better. I didn't play it for months and months.
And then one day I felt like doing it, probably because I missed adventure gaming. And I did KQI. I began reading up on KQ2 and heard it was done differently.
I tried it, expecting nothing great. But I was wrong.
The entire game was nothing compared to the original. Although a rough outline was taken from the original, the entire way the game flowed was different. There were more interesting things, and a much more suspenseful story. The game was like a real, well done KQ game.
Was Graham's voice that of the same guy who did KQ5. For some reason i remember that somehow you guys got the real voice actr. The voice casting was well done. I totally believed it was Graham.
Even when I played the original KQ2, I thought Hagatha played a very weak role. But in the VGA version, she really got to be involved in the story. The entire Father thing was also great.
Then all the music, poetry, and the elaborate stories about the birth, growth and death gem.
I could go on and on. This game is probably as good as KQ6, in nearly every field. I look forward to more remakes, like this Quest for Glory. A game I never played.
It seems some people are doing KQ 2.5, which is a smart move. Since there is a huge time lapse between KQ2 and KQ3 ( about 17 years?). A lot could happen there.
Th orginal KQ2 had a very weak story overall. But Tierra made something much more memorable and complex. I'll have a difficult time trying to remind myself that the remake had little to do with Sierra's ingenuity (If there is any left).
I hope Tierra makes a KQ3 sometime in the future. Or some other game that needed a huge facelift (someone mentioned Conquest for Camelot, that really needs a makeover).
I just have to say thanks for Tierra in making adventure gaming come alive again.
