Anyone remember the old Lord of the Rings games made by Interplay? They only made the two towers and the fellowship of the ring, because the two towers didnt sell enough to merit making the third. The game stuck to the basic storyline of the books, but added its own edge. I think this would make a kick ass remake, as the game is no longer in production, and hasn't been in production for quite some time. What do you guys think?

LOTR's is still a very viable industry. You are very likely to find yourself on the wrong side of a lawsuit should you try remaking something like that.

I still catch myself whistling the theme tunes from those two! I've got them running on my PC using VDMSound, they still kick butt. Too bad Interplay didn't hold on to that license, they could have made a lot of money if they just took their original plot and made a 3d RPG out of it, using the movies characters.
