Yeah, they were mentioned in the other KQ9 thread I think (about 10 threads down). But they are worth mentioning again. They are so sweet ^_^

They are very sweet. I can't wait to visit all the familiar locations (and the new ones of course) in sweet 3D.

I wonder how big this game will be now. I noticed the old screenshots has some 2d style images but the newest has all 3d style images.

I wonder if AGDInteractive team are going to do the same thing for Quest for Glory 2 VGA or  should I call it Quest for glory 2 3D for now on. At least that will explain why that game has still not been released yet.

How about a new screenshot so you can proof for me I was telling wrong news? I hope the screenshot will be a image of where the hero stand on all of the enemy like he is standing on mountain in the desert when he was travelling with the caravan.

Prince of Persia games VS Quest for glory 2=  :rolleyes

Those are very good. I had a chance to see those, when they were declared in the chat.

Now I have even higher expectations for ECHASL.

In the recent chat, KQ9 team said that each part of the game (there's 3 parts) would be 1 GIG each. Wow!

Don't worry... QFG2VGA is still being worked on. No, it's not become 3D :p It's just taking a long time. We realize that interest has been waning due to the wait, but we've just got to accept that and know that the game will release when it's ready to.

I wish AGDI would of made a SQ2 remake but totally remake the backgrounds, I mean look at QFG1ega and QFG1vga, they changed the whole layout and not just add more colours. Also because there have been so many attempts at SQ2VGA but none look good enough. That is if they still continnue to make games after QFG2vga.

No way!  :eek If that game will not be released in CD's I will just have to forget that game. Because I am not going to download such big game like that even I have fast adsl modem.

But some part of it will have a 3D effect right?

How big will the game be after it will be released? Over 100mb perhaps?

KQ9 = 3 full games, all 3 different games will be released a year apart, each around 1 gig each, 3 gig in total.  ;)

I still prefer hand-painted backgrounds, any day of the week.  I freakin' hate 3-D art.

Relax, Fribbi, the games will be split into more managable downloads. So you're not downloading the full 1gb in one shot.

Sweet. But 1 gig?! Oh well.

1 Gig? That'd probably take me 12+ hours to download. So I'm happy. *smirk*

Remember, it'll only be 1gb if you download the voice pack and music pack. If you have a small connection than just download the game by itself, that'd probably be 200mb, yet that's an estimate. I have no idea myself.

Dont mind granpa Blackthorn over there, its a hard time for the old timers to accept that now a days 3D art attracts more attention. :p

3D may grab more attention, but that doesn't make 2D obsolete.

I thank god for that. But still it is too high download size for me and all downloaders. There must be some way to give it out or sell it on CD's right?

I'm thinking Sierra would probably object if they attempted to sell it on CD.

Unless there were a third party involved in selling them on CDs?

Yes, perhaps it attracts more attention: it's also cheaper, faster and easier to develop.

But I ask you..... would you rather look at "The Mona Lisa"  or a 3D Polygon Rendered version of that said artwork?

That is my point.  I just don't like 3D art - never really have.  Probably a reason why I don't own a new generation gaming console: like an XBox or a Playstation - all the graphics are designed like that.  Not that some games aren't fun, I just have no aethestic attatchment to them.

Loo at Half Life 2 for example, you dont agree that those graphics are a master pieace?

Faster? Its much faster to create a painted model than a HL2 standard Model. I would think.

No, I don't think Half-Life 2's graphics are a masterpiece.  Looks like every other standard 3D polygon textured graphic modeling I've ever seen.  It just doesn't interest me, frankly.

No, it takes longer to create a painted model than computer assisted model.

BT, have you eve thought of making a 3D game but with hand blended/painted graphics? To give it that smooth and artistsic feel.  ;)

Have you ever been to the Himalaya Studios website to look at screenshots?
