Re: Hey there, old timers. (And everyone else.)
hitting this thread again made me want to replay the qfg series and as I round the corner on 4 again it completely slipped my mind that KQ3 Redux was made, As one of the most prolific posters on this website I hadn't even downloaded it! Gonna fix that real soon. I truly am Slacker of Shapier, I also...

What a blast from the past, I'm afraid this thread was just a bit before my time originally but it was surreal to see all the names again. Also hello Spokey!

Re: Game breaking bug with simply casting levitation
I used to always play with one save file by the end of playing my menus would always look the same. Thief 1, Mage 1, Fighter, Fight and Stuck? Fight was for a particularly difficult encounter around a corner and stuck was just that. I know you should use more and now I make one for each day and even...

Re: LateBlt's Let's Play QfG on Youtube
In case anyone googling comes across this again due to the remake LP and the recent rerelease LateBlt moved to Russia about 9-10 months ago and never finished his VGA LP. I was playing along with him so as not to miss anything as he tends to use hybrids and explore everything even non point related....

Re: Quest for Glory 1-5 on GOG.com!
I've only played the opening to QFGIV and I had perfect sound without adjusting anything and I didn't get Error 47 on the slide. Beyond that I couldn't tell you but I haven't had any bugs so far and all patches are applied. I also launched QFGV seamlessly. It freaked out a bit on the opening cinemat...

there's actually a few apps for iOS that are legitamate and well done. I've been playing through Broken Sword 2 on my phone after finishing the first two Monkey Island remakes.

I believe all of the testing for these was done on macs with Radeons but it should work on yours. Have you checked to make sure you extracted the app from the dmg and aren't running it while mounted? Make sure it's running from your applications folder and not from your dock specifically because tha...

Re: Quest for Glory 1-5 on GOG.com!
I've been checking the games over for the past hour now and so far they're all spotless. I'm particularly impressed with their music in QFG1, their fixing of quicktime errors in 5, their flawless voice acting in 4 with absolutely no tinkering on the user end and most of all their config setups for t...

Quest For Glory Dungeons and Dragons
I remember reading about someone trying to do this years ago and I finally got a chance to do it myself. Over the past year or so I've been playing D&D with the same group of 5-6 people. Eventually it became my turn to be the dungeon master and my brother had already used all the adventure books...

I'm on Reddit often now and every month or so I see a Sierra related post so of course I go through much the same thing and link everyone and talk about various games. It comes up most often in the Mac Gaming subreddit to be honest.

I became a fan of Wadjet Eye games by seeing them on the Himalaya site and the Blackwell series is beyond excellent. Seriously, considering they were made as recently as they were they're on par with some of the best VGA adventure games.

I've started playing Magicka this week and it's @#%ing fantastic. You guys should buy it and/or add me to steam. Think Loom if it were combat based and multiplayer. This game went on Steam sale and I haven't been around much to tell you guys. It was a top seller though so expect to see it on sale o...

I recommend Game of Thrones for low fantasy enthusiasts. Artemis Fowl for high fantasy. Also pick up Sherlock Holmes, nobody actually reads them because everyone knows about them but they are extremely riveting. I'm not qualified to comment on anything else really I'm not a huge reader. OH! Freakono...

So is LA Noire the evolution of the classic adventure game? Either way I'm frickin loving it!! Brit, do you interrogate suspects like Cole Phelps lol? I'll just very quickly bring up my issues with LA Noire. Every car is undrivable, even though it's gamebreaking I make my partner drive more than ha...

Telltale delays Jurassic Park til Fall
Just got this in my email addressed to everyone who preordered. http://www.telltalegames.com/images/newsletter/volEXiss21/jpletter.jpg As much people here dislike various telltale moves I'm pretty happy about this one. I was actually on the fence about how good this game would be so it soothes me an...

You can't really be mad when they replace a 4 year old console. Also the PS3 supposedly still has 6 years to go, although I doubt it.
