Re: Solutions and points lists and hints
Quite a while has passed. Are there still any plans to make the walkthrough and points list available?

Should we expect a new version of the game?
There are two reasons for asking the question. Firstly, updates invalidate savegames, and Quest for Glory savegames are more valuable than those of other Sierra based games due to the uniqueness of the character's stats (I would rather not play through the game and create a savegame archive if there...

Solutions and points lists and hints
It's been a while and they haven't been made available yet. How soon can we expect them?

Old savegames and compatibility
Should savegames from the last version of the game be expected to work with this one?

Re: Q.F.G.2 bug: constant draining of stamina
I did a little more checking and managed to solve the problem by sleeping until morning or the evening (sleeping for an hour did not work). At any rate, since you will still want to investigate the source of the problem, I've attached for you a savegame with the name 'Day 5'.

Q.F.G.2 bug: constant draining of stamina
I noticed this by day 4, I think. Without running, and without having exceeding the maximum inventory weight, I find that stamina gradually depletes (and experience points increase) as I walk and move from screen to screen. I've tried a few things such as switching another time between run and walk,...

Re: Q.F.G. II: eliminating letterbox resolution at 640x480
Thanks for the information. To get rid of letterboxing uncheck the letterbox option. You cannot play the game in 640x480 without letterboxing. Only 640x400. Yes, you are right; however, I just noticed that I mistyped all along. I was meaning all the time to say 640x400, not 640x480. (I'll edit the i...

Re: Rare QFGIV Problem
A good 2 years have passed since I last raised this matter up, so I am bumping up the thread to try again and see if perhaps someone might be able to provide some useful information this time round. If anyone is interested, please refer to an old thread at http://www.questformoreglory.com/forums/ind...

Q.F.G. II: eliminating letterbox resolution at 640x480
First off of course, a heartfelt thank you is owed to the game's creators for their hard work and dedication. My problem concerns the elimination of the horizontal black bars that appear at the top and bottom of the screen. I have a wide-screen computer monitor, so maybe that isn't surprising. As th...

It looks like I've committed quite the blunder. I was wondering why I had a directory of thief savegames on the side, thinking it was because I could not make the sign with my primary hybrid character. I made a check. It seems that you are correct; one is indeed able to make the sign and take up F...

Thanks, mine has every skill but climbing. Still, that didn't stop me from signing successfully in the first game, so logically, there should have been no difficulty in the second. As for the third game, I checked and you are right. The remake of the first game allows you to make the sign using eit...

Ability to make thief sign extended to hybrids?
In the first game of the series (V.G.A. remake at least -- and the case may have been the same in 'Wages of War' as well), assigning any thief skill or thief skills to another character type would give them the ability to make the thief sign. This was not the case however in Q.F.G. II. How have the...

For all practical purposes of gameplay, I think 50 should be more than enough. A demanding number of slots or an option to change directories is normally set aside for some of us who indulge in the special pet project of creating a library of organised folders of savegames with most stages through...

Save Game 'Change Directory' Option
It may seem trivial, but when one keeps a savegame archive or two, it helps to have the option to cross-reference these when restoring or saving during a game. The absence of a 'Change Directory' option at the save or load game screens in the King's Quest remakes made this cumbersome, and was puzzl...

Q.F.G. II final scene and hybrid characters
I remember a small anomaly in the original game. Importing a fighter from Q.F.G. I who possessed wizard and thief skills would cause the game to mistake the character for a wizard (whether simply because of magic skills or actually passing the wizard initiation test, I am not sure) during the final...

I best scratch out that request. It seems that a similiar trick, the re-import glitch of Q.F.G.IV, will not accept skills over 300 and will keep them at that level, meaning that there exists no way or utility that could help in letting a character come through into the game with a value exceeding 3...

Re: Personal experience
I don't recall a direct correllation with the Open spell skill glitch or the development of skills in general. I just checked the transcript of an online chat with the Coles: it looks like that open spell glitch was a general peculiarity and well-known by gamers, and so nothing special. It doesn't...

QFG Character Importers
Due to a problem explained in this thread ( http://www.agdiforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=178571 ), I am forced to resort to cheating (alas!) and creating an import file, an artificial character, for use in Shadows of Darkness, but starting with the maximum obtainable skills for that game (meaning...

Thanks. I expected some similiarities, but with your glitch appearing a bit too early and you playing with a pure-class character, I can't find some common ground except that the error fails to appear immediately. I just managed to find out somewhere else that the spells' skill levels glitches are ...

Thanks, but unfortunately no, I am talking about the DOS version, and not Windows. You're right in that the savegames carry the glitch over after a certain 'point of no return' (I just wish I had some idea of what it is, for pete's sake, that unfailingly triggers said glitch in every new game, and ...

I think I experienced this problem so far back as when I owned a Pentium I with something akin to 50 Mhz and possibly even back in the days of my 486. I'm not sure whether processor speed may necessarily be the problem (but then again, a Pentium I may have perhaps been fast enough to produce errors...

Rare QFGIV Problem
It's plagued me for almost 10 years, and I never found someone having experienced it. Has anyone played the game for many days (somewhere past the 20th maybe) according to the game's clock (and during this time having maxed out all skills, with no cheats employed whatsoever), only to at some point e...
