ATOTK trouble

As some people have already pointed out to me, the ATOTK site (see my sig) is temporarily unavailable. I don't exactly know why, but the server seems to choke on our webpage code. <grumble> stupid computers >: can't live with'em can't live without em.

I did occasionally buy pots from the Katta merchant, but I only did it because it would support his business (yes, I actually care for the life of a pixellated character!), but I normally dropped it afterwards. <grin> that's really encouraging. You buy a pot, then throw it to the ground in pieces. ...

Hm... maybe there are no AGDIs, only the internet has achieved true sentience and has decided that, rather than take over the world and enslave humanity, it would be more fun to write adventure games.

And, for SCI games, there's always SCI studio.
Extracts backgrounds, anims, sounds and text, all you need is there.

You are of course welcome to give it a try (it's not like we could stop you ;) ) but please consider that 1) TSOMI and MI2 are widely regarded as two of the best adventure games ever, and making changes or even additions to them might not sit well with the fan community; and 2) LucasArts has a histo...

In QfG4, Katrina was evil in a very cool way. In QfG5, however, she has these really dumb lines where she explains how she never understood that summoning the Dark Lord would harm all those poor innocent villagers. It was enough to make me barf, restore an earlier game, and rescue Erana instead. Eve...

Does anyone have a version of the game that does not crash when casting ThermoBlast on the dragon? If so, what happens afterwards? Sounds like a nice alternative ending, no?

I'd agree with PaladinLover's view of teleportation. The Wizard character doesn't even learn a teleport spell (and he does learn various destructive spells so arguably that's easier, and then I'm not even counting ThermoBlast which I always considered some sort of joke). Short-range TP is common (ko...

Not really a cult, more like a small cabal of evil and power-hungry manipulants that seem to have a grudge against Graham's family - usually referred to as the Black Cloak Society. Members include Hagatha, Manannan, Al-Hazred and Shadrack. Caldaur is a former member, and seems powerful enough to avo...

Nice idea, Anathoth, but you can't actually leave the forest with that treasure, so the point is moot.

Games with time limits are plentiful (e.g. Space Quest, Future Wars, and Enchanter if you count that).

Games where you can interact with chairs and beds, less so... I'd nominate the Ultima 6 series, for one. However, in Larry you can sit around a bit, and in Police Quest as well.

Sure, if you convert the video to sprites. Not as easy as it sounds, but MK also did it.
