Hey forget what I said here about me leaving you forever. Even tho my brother has moved and taken his computer with him I can still work on my on his house when I visit him. But it will take me so long time to do this. I will probably be 33 years old when this game is compleated.
The game is near 11mb right now.
The is about some Wizard who has taken control of everything and a boy who lives in a forrest.. This game is supposed to be some kind of Leisure Suit Larry and King quest game.
But anyway here are one compleated background image with one new image.
Enjoy!
So yes just delete all of the others pointless messages here. Because I am back working on the game now.

After reading that, I thought your background must really suck if someone responded that harshly!
Now that I can see it for myself though, it's really terrific. A big improvement over the LSL3 stuff you posted a long time ago. The moon, stars, fog, the trees, and the person are all A+ material. The grass is the only thing I could pinpoint as possibly needing some improvement. Maybe some texture. Otherwise, it's perfect to my eyes.
But nobody who wasn't trying extra hard to be an asshole would say it looked bizarre with no positive comments at all.
Is there some info somewhere on the plot of your game? I'm curious what it's all about.

I am still trying to write that. I can't explain this more because I am still working on the plan.

I like what you have so far, and it sounds like you have a pretty good start. Keep us posted on the development, and forget about that stupid person.

Thanks again. Because I hate to paint all the walkings animation for all of the persons and creatures I think it would be best for me to turn this game into RPG game. It should speed my work on this game then. :\
So yes that means the game will look then like a Betrayal of Krondor or something like that.
This image is not from my game it is from Betrayal of Krondor but it should give you some outlook idea of my own game.

Here is another my screenshot image.
I'm really sorry about what I said in yesterday. I was in bad mood then.
I sometimes get so exhausted and angry when something goes wrong when I am testing this game I just get mad and tired and I was nearly going to delete this game and forget this game but I decide to keep working on this game.
The game is already now very near 10 mb size but still I haven't yet started to put any puzzle just a backgrounds and sprites, talking people and just a little detail of the story. What I really worry about is the size of the game for the downloaders. So that's why I have to cut the story in a chapter after chapter so right now it just "chapter 1 I'm currently working on right now.
And it is just a introduction on the main hero and some charackter. I need to finish maybe five or six new backgrounds image and then it will get ready..maybe. But don't expect to much from this game since this is my first game and I am using all my best skill on.

You shouldn't give up. Yeah, this game is likely too complicated for you to finish. Try simplifying the story to be able to use a more standard interface. Use the AGS built-in scripting utilities. Then go over the generated script so you can understand what is going on.
Above all: start simple. Good luck! :D

Fribbi, stop announcing this premature projects, work on a game in secret until you have in-game screenshots.

I don't see what the big deal is, Alias. If you don't want to read the updates, don't go into the thread. :rolleyes

Well that's a fine opinion and all, but I don't think it's best to flat out tell someone to stop just because you don't think it's a good idea. If you were suggesting it I wouldn't be saying anything.

Your game looks pretty darn good there, Fribbi. I don't see why you keep changing the thread title and stuff, but okay, wer'e all a tad strange at times.
I like how your game looks anyway. When are you planning to release it.

I have decided to keep the old name of the game.I think it doesn't matter if there is some book or movie with the same title I have on my game.
But like I told you before this is the first chapter of many I am currently working on. The first chapter will be called
The Black sky
1.Chapter "The black day"
I am not sure yet when this game will come out.

I have only give one man to test my game and he mentioned he had trouble to find a way out. So I updated that screenroom so he would not have the same problem again. So far the game has only walkable room without doing anything else. My tester said the music is great also the backgrounds. So far everything is working great now. I am right now adding more background images for the game.
( Why do I get the same feeling when AGDI #1 was programming her first game?)

Today I am finally learning how to add the raining effect.
You start in a empty house. And you have to build your muscle. I am right now trying to adding a swiming pool and some more sports area and other neat stuff. Just like you did in SIMS.
I just hope they in EAGames are not going to sue me for using the SIMS objects in this game .

The artwork is very good, but you should work on getting the perspective right. For example, on 49511.jpg, the left side of the building should either be parallel to the left hedge, or the two should converge at the horizon, but instead they converge at a point well below the horizon. All vertical lines should either be parallel or converge at the horizon.
On 49186.jpg, the sides of the house diverge as they approach the horizon. I assume that you intended the house to be rectangular and not hexagonal or octogonal. They should either be parallel or converge toward the horizon. The internal walls do converge toward the horizon, but they should converge at the same point. That is why you have those solid areas in the walls.
Your drawings seem to be schematic, rather than perspective or isometric, drawings. A schematic drawing shows everything that you want to show, including hidden surfaces, at the expense of geometry. Your use of textures and effects is good, but it clashes with the geometry of your scenes.
You should decide whether you want to use parallel lines or converging lines, and stick with the same style throughout the game. If you choose to make the vertical lines parallel, they should be at the same angle to the horizon in every scene. Converging lines look better because they give a sense of depth, but then you have to scale your sprites as they walk toward and away from the horizon; with parallel lines you don't have to do that.
If you can get the geometry correct, your game will look very professional.
