Assistance with Poll

I'd really appreciate if you guys could assist with this petition.

Point is... Pretoria's name is about to be changed. For no mentionable good reason. It will cost all business's, entire South Africa  (and even the overseas countries) a lot of money to change the name. If it was any other city it wouldn't have mattered, but this IS the capital.

Please vote 'not to change it'.

Reason and Origin

Two questions:

1. Why has this name change been proposed?

2. What is the origin of both names (Pretoria and Tshwane)?

There's no racial-meaning whatsover to it, if that's what you're asking Brainiac. They're just names. Heck... chances are nobody can even remember where either of the names came from.

They want to change everything. Every street name, building, town, city, and even the name 'South Africa'.

If there were any basis for it, yeah, I guess I would have had no problem. But this is simply to annoy everyone.

Edit: The legal way of handling name changes is to ask for input (from the public) in the papers. It DID appear in the papers: A day after the name change already went through. In other words... there were no complaints, because nobody knew this was being discussed in the first place.

I voted no for you, Gronagor. Surely they won't rename your country, I want South Africa "South Africa" not some strange new name which will probably have "Sponsored by Pepsi Max" at the end of it.

Well I hope this petition will prove a point, I hate it to see these fail even if it has 6,000,000 votes on it.
