Rough monetary translation
The current exact exchange for pounds sterling to US dollars escapes me at the moment, but a good rule of thumb is to always add 50% when converting to USD (i.e. £1=$1.50). So basically, £35 is (roughly) $52.50.
Ah, ok. That sounds about right. Since here in the states, Cubes sell for only about $60 at gamestop, and they buy them for only $30... Considering that gap, Angelus, I'd say your communication score must be pretty low, if you're only saving 8 bucks, whereas bromios got an extra twenty two or so....... :p
I don't know how much gamecubes go for in your area, what with the apparent shortage and all, but it sounds to me like you got ripped off, angelus. But then, its a gamcube, so it was still worth it...
In other news, what games have you got for it so far? What with the supply/demand on your side of things, consider buying them from the states. It may end up cheaper that way then buying locally.....

Personally I'm a game-a-holic. I just can't live without gameahol. I have a PS2 that I've had for under a year and I found so many bargains I have 11 games for it and I haven't paid over 150CDN even if brand new games go for about 70 here.
I'd probably have more but my brother left his games here which are ok boosting me upto 20 or so titles on PS2. The only reason I did it so quickly because when my brother left for school again last Christams he stole my Gamecube and all my best titles from my 30+ selection and left his PS2 along with his 8 games and called it a fair trade...which is why I stole his Minidisk player right before he left ;)
On the topic of games though I have the DS but I barely lift it from the coffee table seeing as how I only have Mario64 for it and it doesn't look like anythings out that I'd want now. I found the DS challenging for myself being left handed but the cartridges are pretty cool.

At the minute I just have what came with it which is Soul Calibur II (playing as Link rocks!) Wrestlemania 19, WWE Day of Reckoning and Time Splitters 2.
I plan on getting most of the Mario/Zelda games available as I hear they're all good.
But its only the dedicated game stores that sell Gamecube stuff round here. Other stores like Supermarkets, Blockbuster dont have any Gamecube products available.
I called up Blockbuster and asked why they dont have any GC stuff and they said that all the Blockbuster stores got an email saying to remove all GC stuff as it is going to be replaced (shelf space I assume) by the impending PSP.

Heh-heh-heh
Trust me QFGFan, you weren't the only one who noticed that unintentional double entendre. I PMed Angelus about it and told him to get a room.
