How was your Summer?

#1 Post by Quest For Glory Fan » Sat Aug 27, 2005 5:03 am

Well it appears Summer is coming to an end soon and for some has ended awhile ago. I just thought I'd make yet another thread and ask everyone how they've been for the past two months. Anyone go anywhere? Do anything interesting?

I myself spent all of July in summer school which I failed anyways. Pure bullshit but that's ok I think I'll like grade 13  |I. Other fun things in July I did...well I avoided human contact everywhere so I could focus on school but on the night after my exam I did go to a cool party which was later busted up by the cops...Fun!

This month I did little more than sit around the house playing games while waiting for my girlfriends many returns from the many times she's been out of town this summer. Tommorow will mark 6 months and on that day she will be 300 Kilometers North at a family reunion.  :cry where she will also be for my birthday. Usually I wouldn't mind but she doesn't even want to be there. So I've just been sitting here playing the same games inbetween outings.

Boring summer all around. Anyone else do any better?

let's see ... i moved to California, took 3 classes, one of which I'll have to retake because Hebrew is freakin' HARD, started dating someone, watched that end, and bought a really cute skirt.

Took a few days off and went to Amsterdam, and basically just spent a few days when I was off from work, with Katherine going shopping and sealife center and beach, things like that.

Not that exciting really. Also like Steffi I bought some really cool clothes! ;)

Scaled the Grand Canyon.
Met up with a group of international friends.
Got a raise.
Got a promotion.
Got a bonus. (All three things were unrelated).
Went horseback riding.
Went to California (LA, Hollywood, etc.)
My dad (whom I haven't seen in over a year) visited.

Yeah... it's been busy.

I guess not everyone can go on holiday at least every half a decade, I'm sure you could of saved up some lil' amount of money over the years and get yourself a small holiday. Thats what I do whn I can.

it's not that we can't afford to go on holiday it's that the children in the family have been excluded in the past 3 vacations. Bahamas (1996) Cancun (2000) Tour of Europe (2005) kinda sad really especially since the one trip I did take was across Canada that I've seen in every magazine add ever. Still I geuss it's better than nothing.

Were you one of these children? I'm confused because the last holiday was 2005.

#14 Post by FatherGhostface » Sat Aug 27, 2005 11:13 pm

Uh..........aside from that note-

I had a (as Tony the Tiger would say) GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREAT summer! I went to my aunt and uncle's, I went shopping for things to torure my friends with, I designed cut-scenes for IA for their KQ3 game, I even got a new journal for my birthday which I will write down my deepest and most secret thoughts in! What shall I title my journal......? AH! CRUEL INTENTIONS! BWAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!

This Summer....

#15 Post by The Avatar » Sat Aug 27, 2005 11:15 pm

Things I accomplished this summer:

Took Calculus & passed it this time!
Looked for a job, found one as a waiter..
Lost the job cuz I'm not a good waiter :(
Moved out of the suburbs, about 30 minutes north of the city..
Made my first little computer game,
Applied for a few jobs out here in the town I live now,
Started a new diet / workout regimen to gain 40 pounds (18 kilograms)
Bought some new clothes for school starting up this Monday!

This is the first summer I haven't taken a vacation in years.. I'll have to wait to find a job before I can afford such luxeries again.   :)
