#1 Post by The Avatar » Tue Jan 24, 2006 3:32 pm

I thought it odd that no one mentions it here.. is it because it's not really 'off topic'? hehe.. okay.  Well thought i'd bring it up anyways, incase some of you off topicers didn't notice.

First update in designer journals in OVER 4 months!

All right! AGDI are back again save and alive!

AGDI related News update
As far as the QFG2VGA remake is concerned, adjustments to the code and bug-fixes continue on a daily basis as our to-do list shrinks in size. Several background screens are also in the process of having advanced lighting techniques applied to make the end results more visually appealing. There are still a large number of bugs involving the combat system and wilderness (desert) areas of the game, which will be our next major focus.

We're also in the process of preparing somewhat of a surprise for the future (two of them, actually) which fans of the first two King's Quest remakes should enjoy, but to say any more at this point would be telling. ;)

In this time they told us the best news they have ever told us. They told us that they are going to continue to re create two others classic game by Sierra.

I salute you for telling us this!

Does anybody want to guess what the two other secret games they are going to work on!  Or shall we wait for it until the time comes when they will finally tell us about it?

In my guessings  it is the two last VGA version of King Quest  3 and 4 games.
What else should be good to for King Quest fans?

I'd say that's a fair guess.

See.... that's how rumors get started. All AGD2 said was "a surprise". Heh....   ;)

It wouldn't make sense to create two vga remakes of the same game!

:D Does that mean they will be remaking KQ1VGA and KQ2VGA, because it would be very cool if they remake KQ2VGA and remove the Father and the Object part of the Game. :D

:\ If they're not remaking KQ1VGA and KQ2VGA, then i'll wait for KQ3VGA and KQ4VGA. :D

A debugged QG4 would be a nice tribute (even though there are already patches out there)

The AGD's are in the middle of making two computer games already that we know about. (QFG2VGA and Al Emmo)  I really think that the odds that they would find the time to make not just one, but two other remakes in addition to what they're already doing are quite slim.   Maybe they're making some kind of expansion to go with the first two Kings Quest.  But if they're actually making a new 3 and 4 I would be quite surprised.

Hmmm... what was that parody that was supposed to be based on KQ?
